aidan mcatamney Posted October 9, 2023 Share Posted October 9, 2023 Great flying model from Multiplex. Now discontinued like so many other good models. Ive had this plane for a good while now but have only ever flown it on water with the float set i bought for it at the time of purchase. To jazz it up a bit i soldered together a few different lengths of coloured lights and the reflection on the water is very picturesque. One thing i do intend to do soon is remove the floats and add the landing gear which is taildragger configuration and fly it off grass at our club field. My clubmate Charlie flies one occasionally and I'm always super impressed with how well behaved the model is. Steve Colman Posted October 9, 2023 Share Posted October 9, 2023 Another fan of the Mentor here. I flew a friends as a tug for some glider towing and loved it. He left it to almost die and I persuaded him to let me have it. It's in a poor state but I do intend to repair it and fly it again. I had to buy my floats separately and I think this is a bargain for someone to snap up. It's a very good plane. I have mine over nine years and still in good order.
