Terry Plumridge 1
From a local (Austrian) Buy/sell website. Has anyone ever seen one of these built and running? Cheers, Terry. https://www.willhaben.at/iad/kaufen-und-verkaufen/d/quarter-scale-merlin-v12-gussteile-bausatz-758726641

Rich Griff
I have never been to the model engineering exhibition usually in Alli palli in London, very early on in the new year. Engineers making usually working models in sheds/spare rooms. Absolutely fantastic, works of art ( not unmade beds ! ). Still, beauty is in the eye of the beholder..... Keith Billinge Posted Thursday at 20:50 Share Posted Thursday at 20:50 OOOh nice model. But you could have all your fingers off at once with that baby...... Not terribly useful once you've built it.
J D 8 Posted Friday at 06:53 Share Posted Friday at 06:53 Nice and lovely to see running but you can see there is very little pitch [if any] on the prop so it is not doing any work.
Simon Chaddock Posted Friday at 08:03 Share Posted Friday at 08:03 It sounds terribly quiet for a engine with a total capacity of 421cc (27 litre/4x4x4) making each cylinder 35cc and on open exhausts. Just and observation.
Graham Davies 3 Posted Friday at 08:49 Share Posted Friday at 08:49 Fascinating. The youtube link took me here: Not sure I like the sound, but it's still massively impressive in a relatively modest sized model. Graham
J D 8 Posted Friday at 09:22 Share Posted Friday at 09:22 Must have been running with little pitch in first video so as not to remove bench from the building.😁 Impressive.👏
