Ron Gray
Paints - B & Q tester pots (I'll let you know the colours I used when I go back up to the workshop tomorrow) Aluminum tape - any, it's used for duct joints and for taping joints when using foil backed plasterboard. To start off have a look here Amazon I hunted around in my spares drawer and used this SLEC

I used a Valspar paint from Band Q called "woodpidgeon " (apparently , though confusingly named after the bird , that bird being grey ! ) I like that green so much , I did the Mossie in it too . Spot on I reckon .
Ron Gray
Ah yes, Woodpidgeon, that’s what I used and have a rather large pot of it now that you’re more than welcome to use.
Graham R
Just trying to cut out the canopy. Is this part of it or is it waste material?
RICHARD WILLS
No Graham , if you look at the picture below , you can see the rear of the canopy frame rises up at the tail end . Richard

Chris Walby
Hi Ron, Confused, in this vlog you sheet the fuselage and then say you used the technique used in the FW build to install the pushrods. But in the FW build Vlog you install the push rods and then sheet. Could you share the Tempest pushrod method please or I'll just do it the same as the FW190 (just mine didn't come out as well as yours! Or are you talking about a natty way of feeding the pushrods out of the fuselage after painting?
Ron Gray
Sorry Chris, I missed that part out! I fed a snake through the rear slot, screwed the end of the pushrod into it then guided it back through the slot.
Chris Walby
Cheers, I'll do as the FW190, fit them, cut the slots and fit the servo tray, then finish the fuselage sheeting. Once covered and surfaces all glued on fit the control rods and heat shrink the last wire just in case the horns don't end up where I expected. Roll on the brown paper later this week ( 🙂 )...after engine testing on the Douglas Boston!
Chris Walby
Tempest has now been brown papered and i was wondering where the best place is to obtain a drawing of the aircraft with just the panel lines and most photos or drawings show colour schemes?
