David Ashby - Moderator
It's amazing what you can fit into even the smallest of cars. I saw a Smart car at a fly-in this year, stuffed full of models, admittedly smalle electric types. Nice looking field there Ross. Ross Clarkson
Strategically packed David. Note, how it appears that the Aygo has been purposely designed to carry a 40 size trainer as the nose leg fits neatly into some unknown bracket on the back of the seat!! Genius! David Davis
Field like Clives? Fit floats. Problem solved.
Lee Wilson
Fantastic weather at our patch today, bit waterlogged at the bottom end but plenty of strip for my Arising star. Got three flights, the first ones since the repairs I made after my first crash 4 weeks ago. All held up well with no incidents. Working shifts certainly has its bonuses when the weathers like this. Now that's a good idea, where can I get some for a '99 Kangoo? Fortunately, we have 2 fields and one is never waterlogged. Looks hopeful, though cold for tomorrow. Peter 'Ivanna Crashalot' Savage
Our field was alright today, covered in worm casts though, tossed the eflite seafury over on landings bit muddy too, hoping to go flying again tomorrow!!! Ross Clarkson
Thanks for the tip Ken, will ensure to keep it off next time. Great video Biggles, that arising star sticking straight in the ground was quite funny!
GrumpyGnome
Our strip is fine - mainly thanks to Mowerman (and the electric fence !). Access to the field is fine too; very wet once you actually drive onto the field though - I often park on the stoney bit just inside the gate to avoid churning it up by the pits even more. Spent an enjoyable (?) half an hour on Thursday pressing flat some of the tracks made by the plethora of 4x4's that have driven by the pits - they may be great for getting where you want to be but they don't half make a mess ! Clive Matthews
So off to HMFCs other field. It's not raining, it's not blowing, what can possibly go wrong? http://bambuser.com/channel/hexhome We got 2 flights in before we were totally fog bound! Don't you just love our weather. Ross Clarkson
Cool pics Stephen. That must have been bitterly cold and windy. Not crashed another one have you???? That Corsair looks lovely.
Richard Carpenter
That Corsair does look lovely! Where abouts in Aldershot is the field Stephen? I know the area fairly well...
Richard Carpenter
Don't worry Stephen, I took my bone idle fingers to google and had a look myself! A bit further out from Aldershot than I expected, but certainly a nice looking site, particularly the one for electric and gliders.
Stephen Grigg
Yes, its not Aldershot at all, its near Basingstoke, five miles from where I work in Hook.Ive not been to the glider site yet.
Ross Clarkson
Is it your Corsair Stephen?
Stephen Grigg
Unfortunately not but Im not experienced enough to fly it anyway. As you can probably see from its landing they are difficult to get down and the wind caught this one and on its second touch down something snapped on a retract
