Garry Pollard
If your heart and head are saying get another Pulse Stephen, tell your wallet to shut up, and go for it Garry
Stephen Grigg
Im going to wait and fly another couple of my models and see how Ive progressed. If Im still crap then Ill buy another one.Itll prve its the Pulse and not me!
Pete B
Really sorry to hear the Pulse has gone in, Stephen - why is it we get more attached to some models than others? Its's a sensible idea to give some of your hacks a good airing, if only to reassure yourself that it isn't just finger-trouble. Don't fly another Pulse until you're entirely happy with yourself and your gear - then you'll enjoy it all the more! Pete
Stephen Grigg
Thanks for the advice Pete, firstly Im refurbishing a couple of models, when I get my new radio gear Imgoing to get my instructor to set them up first. Both my Wot 4 and Magnatilla were being a hand full and maybe it was the problems with these that made the Pulse that much easier to fly.The one thing I cannot do is fly with one hand a trim with the other.I still have to plan the shortest route from model to pitts when I take off.I still have to stand behind the model to steer on take off

Stephen Grigg
There wasnt a lot of relevant fuselage left to work from in the middle ,and the wing was badly crushed,Flanker would have repaired it but the front of the fuselage was damaged more than you could see as well
Stephen Grigg
My new transmitter arrived so Im trying to figure how it all works, thet only sent 3 receivers, not sure which 3 models to choose
Garry Pollard
Hi Stephen, Not trying to rub it in mate, had 7 perfect flights with the Pulse 40. Conditions perfect. You have got to get another and maybe one day we will fly them together, who knows Garry
Simon B
If you do, make sure you paint them in different colours. Stephen would be very upset to discover he was trying to fly the wrong model and crashed it again!
ken anderson.
hello stephen - you've mentioned that you have decided to get rid of your radio gear-i take it you were using spectrum gear-what have you bought/changed to now?......you also mentioned that you had 20 models..on your tx..that's a lot of models to keep track of. i've owned magnatilla's and wot 4's stephen and none of them have been a handfull to set up or fly-the mag was one of the most forgiven model's i can think of..the wot could be set up really any old how and would still not have any nasty catch you out/unflyable habit's. when you kick off again.....set your models up as they come..all control's straight and level-----forget about expo's etc...and fly them off the deck like that...... swapping all of your radio gear seem's like a drastic move...you'll end up confused..me i would reset a couple of models and fly them till the 'good' weather comes-then introduce the other's on a one by one basis.... S Grigg's....... fan ken anderson..............
Stephen Grigg
Im glad you had a good day Gary,Ive put my new Tx on charge then have to start reading the instructions. If I have to charge for 16 hours,I wont be able to set a model up.If I had the Pulse Id know that was the one to set up.As Ive lost it I dont know which one to set up first. If I have to wait that long I wont be avle to set which ever one I decide until tomorrow,oh decisions decisions

Garry Pollard
Just seen the pics Stephen. That sure went in . You dont do things by half do you? Not a bad idea that, send it to Flanker and see if he could repair it. Im taking bets he could, and im also taking bets that I couldnt. Stephen Grigg
Hi Gary and Allan, now be honest with me,does your Pulse land perfectly every time or has my landings improved
Garry Pollard
Hi Stephen No the Pulse does not land perfectly every time. It has to be landed and if you slow it up too much it will stall, I proved that yesterday as I was at the airfield on my own and tried it three mistakes high. It will drop a wing quite sharply so I would definatly say your landings have improved. Its you that is getting better not the model being easy Garry
Stephen Grigg
I have to decide which models to set up on my new gear.now ,do I set up either my Wot 4 or Magnatilla both have handling problems,.or do I set up either my unflown Cap 232 or Harmon Rocket, flown once that should fly perfectly
Simon B
I think i'm glad i 'only' have 6 models. Sounds far too confusing.
Stephen Grigg
Im thinking the Cap 232,instructor maiden flies it trims it for me.Spend the day just flying that one ,should then learn how to set the next one up onthe new TX and go from there

Stephen Grigg
Good news about the SC52 2 stroke out of the Extra 300S it was the prop nut not tightening the prop up enough,it was OK first time I flew it ,and I checked it for tightness but it was bottoming out
Stephen Grigg
The RCM and E has 2 Hangar 9 reviews in the March issue,The Pawnee and Saratoga 40,Bonus.I enjoyed both rev iews andI have an interest in both models, but would still at present prefer another Pulse.Probably because I know how good it is and the priceEdited By Stephen Grigg on 08/02/2010 23:48:
