  12. just had an E-Mail from the CAA telling me that my REG was about to run out and send off £9 to keep registered. I renew mine when i pay my club fee's each December. I logged on to the BMFA site and sure enough I'm registered until 2023. Further down the page it says if you pay via your club to ignore the e-mail...waste of time/effort etc on their behalf.. ken anderson...ne...1...... waste dept.

  15. hello ian,i wrote off 3 models in one week trying to learn how to roll the model coming towards me, wrote of a couple on their maiden flights and had a couple of mid-air kisses off other members models........all part of the hobby...what go's up must come down.. ken anderson...ne..1...Gravity dept.
  16. here is my version of the NHS spitfire.. ken anderson.....ne....1...spitfire dept.
  17. hello Graham...that's really part of the problems...people may be keen on having a go with a one but aren't made aware of the regs...so are ignorant of them...and when something happens...they assume that they are model flyers as we are......the regs are constantly get updated and it is hard to keep up....but as long as we have something we can refer to ...to keep ourselves right...i'm happy......i've been flying like many others for umteen years and try and do it with causing upset and offence to anyone....as the majority of abiding model flyers i imagine do..........., and I'm not about to turn feral... ken anderson...ne...1...Feral dept.
  18. don't you think that the regs intoduced aren't to deter bona fide members of associations...who try to do what they have been told(most of the time)...... but are there to make someone think twice about buying a radio controlled model of whatever description .....bearing in mind all the stuff they need to do to fly lawfully? ...... instead of out of the box and fly....regardless.....and cause an accident/incident. as an aside, not long ago there was a theory that the regs were to clear the airways....and allow Drones to fly, here there and everywhere.......that seems to have gone quiet also...... i may be wrong of course.? ken anderson...ne..1... regs dept.
  19. thanks JT...i would think that it will need very little movement on the controls for its size/weight, maybe only a lot of elevator to flare out a landing? a forward c/g might calm it down also? ...anyway well done for attempting to defy Gravity. ken anderson...ne..1..gravity dept.
  20. last century when i was "learning" with my dear Yamamoto....the rubber bands save my model a good few times from getting wrecked......and more time repairing than flying.. ken anderson...ne..1.........L dept.
  21. looks good JT......everything we build fly's once at least....let us know how it does.. ken anderson...ne..1....... martian dept.
  22. basil, the white bands that are on Slecs web site are good value/quality...no point in going cheap...for the decent price of saving your model.....the price of decent bands compared to the price to replace a model and all the gear.......its a no brainer? ken anderson...ne...1...no brainer dept.
  23. hello Basil, Slec have a good selection on their site. hello Rich...i read that the PO band were bio degradable...so they might perish quickly? ken anderson....ne..1..rubber dept.
