According to an item in the DT today, someone was flying a Tundra on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, he was in a park too close to Heathrow & he was fined £2k! Seen by police & apprehended. -

My Fox has proven to be great value for money. It flies well in a wide wind speed range, is aerobatic & has survived its share of slope side arrivals. I would happily have another. -
Do you fly on Ladies' Mile? I did 40 yrs ago. Tony

Proof that there is still lots of life in 35Mhz. It was a privilege to have been able to help in this great endeavour. Congratulations to all involved. Tony -
I have used the Rustoleum gloss lacquer, from B&Q, on the cowling & spats of my Extra which had been painted with Lidl rattle can paint. After a full season of frequent flying using 10% nitro the cowling is no longer pristine but I am far from ashamed of its state. I will certainly use this Rustoleum product again but will buy from Sprayster. Tony

Posted by Denis Watkins on 24/01/2018 07:39:07: Posted by john stones 1 on 23/01/2018 23:46:27: Bit unkind to call it sluggish maybe Denis, mine was a joy to fly....cue the sarky comments on my looks. I was trying to be diplomatic John, for the young lads comment that this was slow in the roll But as you say, they are a joy to fly, and solid, with knock off wings in the event of an ungainly arrival These are great to build too Young lad!! I am flattered, I think, mine is the only slow roll rate comment. However I remember when this model came out & PRECEDENT is spelled the same way now as it was in the late 70s. Tony

Mine goes "well" with an ASP 75, tho' the roll is slow.

Reasonable internet speed, Lloyds Bank Treasurer account & debit card works well for me. Members are encouraged to use BACS transfer with their name in the reference field - piece of doddle.

A friend owns one of these. Successful take offs can only be achieved from out well - mown patch if the a/c is restrained until full power is selected & lots of up elevator is applied, otherwise it tips onto its nose. Good luck. Tony

A lovely flying day at Dover, sunshine, blue sky, very light breeze & with no wind chill, almost warm. Seven Bloobirds enjoyed their flying. Tony -

Try Hobbyking. 5 metre rolls of Olive Drab & Linen, £33.76 each. -
Some years ago I bought a Corona 2.4 Ghz module & rx from HK. The module gave up after a few weeks & I complained to HK customer services. They asked for a video of it not working, accepted my case & sent a new module & rx, which I used for several years successfully. HK customer & warranty service is not all bad. Tony Scott

Poundland 5 minute epoxy thins well using meths, it can then be brushed into engine & tank bays & fuel proofs very effectively.

What's flying over your house

I live on the edge of a small village in E Kent, a pair of low flying C130s passed by very close 1 hour ago. 50 years ago I was at RAF Colerne waiting to fly in a new C130K to form 48 Sqn in Singapore.
