  1. Try liberally soaking the wood with isopropyl alcohol, let it soak and then, while it's still soaking fill the bay with rice. (not cooked) Far better IMHO than talc and certainly easier to clean out. A couple of "treatments" may be needed.
  2. Mr Chinnery, That's why I use Fibreglass and not carbonfibre arrow shafts.
  3. I've used fibreglass arrow shafts as push rods. Very rigid and lightweight. Hollow shafts are better than solid rods. Stiffer and lighter for comparable diameters. Edited By jrman on 27/06/2020 09:09:34
  4. Give Mike Ridley a call. He's the UK Multiplex service agent. A very helpful fella.**LINK**
  5. Gentle heat from a hair dryer rather than a heat shrinking gun should soften the adhesive allowing you to peal the old tape off.
  6. Don't know what formula 560 is. Google is my friend. Yes that looks fine Edited By jrman on 19/06/2020 15:49:58
  7. If the crack is tight without tape I would just run the bead along and gently move the crack a little to work the glue in. If you use tape you will likely only put the glue on the crack and not in it. (hope that makes sense) Don't use cyano as it will likely cause the canopy to go foggy. 8. Deluxe Materials list "TRICKY STICK" as a primer on Polypropylene before bonding with cyano. I'm surprised they didn't mention their own product unless you told them it was ABS. Edited By jrman on 19/06/2020 15:27:19
  9. Run a bead of canopy glue along the crack. It dries clear and will be barely noticeable.
  10. Deluxe Materials do a "primer" and cyano for hard to glue plastics.
  11. I fitted a Turbo Header silencer to a Saito 125 (from Just Engines) which is very light and I have had no problems with it loosening.
  12. Unlikely as you will still be hit with VAT and the handling charge.
  13. Peter, Probably. VAT @20% + Parcel Force well earned and deserved "handling fee". I have never been charged "duty" even on items costing way more than that. At least you will have them.
  14. Peter, That link is to JR in California.
  15. Peter, 3rd option is to buy it from the link I posted and not wait for Probuild.
  16. Probuild are the JR UK agent but NEVER seem to have much in stock. (Not good for an agent). I have bought batteries for a 28X direct from JR and delivery is normally very quick. **LINK**
  17. Iso propyl alcohol. Methylated spirits. Lighter fluid (naphtha). Acetone. Cellulose thinners.
  18. Balance it with tailplane level. That's how it will fly.
  19. Really? Dated 28 Apr 2020. Kenley Police ⁦‪@MPSKenley⁩ #Kenley Colleagues at the MOD have asked that you do not fly model aircraft anywhere at RAF Kenley. The space can be enjoyed for walks and jogging but not for this purpose. 28/04/2020, 21:13
  20. Try an artists supplier. They use them for water colour washes. I've got some up to 4" wide.
  21. Denis, A company called Ravenair, based at Liverpool has been surveying all around the UK for the last couple of weeks. They have at least 3 Partenavias doing the work. Not sure what they are surveying as last week they had one out over the sea off Wales. (windfarms?)
  22. Unless the item is very expensive it is unlikely to attract Import duty. If it does then modelling items are generally levied at 2%. I have purchased items up to circa £500 and not been hit with import duty. Don't forget the VAT is levied on ALL costs including packing and shipping. You will pay a Post Office handling fee of £8 or £12 depending on whether it is Royal Mail or Parcel Force doing the "handling). This charge does not attract VAT. Generous aren't they?
  23. Andy try Balsa Cabin. Edited By jrman on 20/04/2020 10:18:18
  24. Probably. They may have turned a bit brown and thickened but should become workable if thinned and stirred well with cellulose thinners.
