Can I use a T-FHSS receiver in my Futaba T8J the blurb only mentions S-FHSS and FHSS receivers?

Hi Percy - that's exactly what I have done shop 2 got the sale. Shop 1 despite the glowing testimonials it gets dipped out this time.

A bit puzzled over delivery charges-the cost quoted by two different model shops to deliver the same Tx next day delivery by DPD vas as follows Shop 1} £14.20 distance to deliver 86 miles. Shop 2: £4.50 distance to deliver 207 miles. The difference in cost not being hidden in the price of the Tx as shop 2 Tx was £20 cheaper.

One of my switches kept coming loose as I did not want to over tighten it and risk cracking the tx casing or damaging the switch I used a small amount of thread lock before retightening with long nose pliers. Since tightening the switch has not come loose.

And so, being horsemen, early pilots naturally "mounted" their single seat airctraft from the left. This has persisted. look at any photo of a pilot getting into fighter - WW1, WW2 or contemporary - and you'll almost always see they get in from the left. By the time that aircraft grew in size to the point where several people were "mounting" the convention that you do so from the left was already well established. BEB BEB good theory and one I will not dispute, but the designers of the Lancaster Bomber and Canberra B1's & 2's had different ideas - as the aircrew entered these aircraft on the right.

Andy - Just joined for another year on line. All went smoothly and took a few minutes. One minor comment, I missed the survey link on the member' details page but saw it on the second look when I put my new telephone number in. Perhaps the link could be more obvious as the survey is about Country members who are also members of BMFA Affiliated Clubs.

Good luck to them. I certainly won't be following the media frenzy as I don't buy newspapers, watch televised news or breakfast tv - too much non news about so called celebrities on all three. .

The BMFA news part of the website also details the annual membership fee - Seniors £34 for 2018.

Our Hermes delivery person is always the same woman or man in a saloon car. No white van see them regularly in the area and they appear to know their patch/people and where to leave parcels if they cannot deliver at the door. Only problem we have had was when DPD sent two different vans to pick up the same parcel, you can imagine the second drivers reaction.

Other - bought an RTF to learn to fly and a kit to learn to build at the same time. Only bought an ARTF recently.

Anyone know if Model and Hobby World is going to re-open? A quick google reveals a web page that is completely devoid of items and a new owner.

I like to new format of the Members Handbook, appears to be much easier to read. It is a much needed replacement for the old one, although I cannot comment on all the contents as I have only flicked through it.

Posted by brokenenglish on 26/09/2017 09:07:08: Looking at the above, all those who've had any kind of problem with Spektrum have changed something (e.g. Li pack option), whereas the gents who've just used Spektrum "straight out of the box" have never had a problem. The implications are obvious. Not sure fitting a genuine Spektrum Li-on battery which is recommended by the manufacturer for the Tx would suggest the problem is obvious. Straight out of the box for the dx6 would be Duracells (or similar).

Originally I was nervous about dry batteries, but they last such a long time that in the end, I couldn't be bothered to convert them. The consumption rate must be very low. My DX7 is rechargeable. It must be one of the first, also several years old. I keep thinking I should buy something more recent, but it still works perfectly so have never bothered. My Dx6i worked fine on dry batteries and I never had a failure the batteries lasted for ages. When I bought my DX6 I decided to install the Li-on battery, as previously posted when not in use it completely every 10 days or so. I am not sure if the DX6 is at fault, or as previously stated the battery has a charge protection circuit built into it, and it is this circuit causing the problem. To determine if its a Tx or battery fault I intend to remove the li-on battery and fully charge it and leave it disconnected to see if it loses its charge as rapidly. At the same time I will fit dry cells in the Tx and see if they discharge.

I have a DX9 with a fault ( who has'nt ) the battery discharges while the Tx is switched OFF - no it is not a senior moment, although they do occur more often now, please has anyone had the same problem. I've questioned RCG's and the best answer was - it is an FET problem !!?? - idea's anyone...joe Edited By stubtoe on 19/09/2017 09:19:29 My Dx6 also discharges when switched Off takes about 10 days before the Li-on battery goes flat. No idea what a FET is.
