  1. Applying side and downthrust is a no brainer for me, you've applied some but was that enough ? Flicky can cover a few things, c.g, amount of movement for example, how's it behave throttled back ?
  2. Frankly, I reckon if your Yak flys well and price is good It'll sell, It's a toy aeroplane and for me some folk take themselves too seriously, not buying a Yak will change nowt, other than you won't have a Yak.
  3. You think moaners only inhabit the oldens group ? Like Zulus, there's fousands of em.
  4. It's your money so you're entitled to an opinion. Been a magazine buyer all my life, much prefer it to online sources, we have thread after thread about the pressures modern life has put the hobby under (some running as I type), same with model shops and flying sites, and the magazine. Mags running a freebie over more than one issue is nothing new, can't say I begrudge it, they're trying to make a living and some profit. Support what we have, or as seen elsewhere and often, it may go, consequences of that are obvious.
  5. Flys like it looks then, been a pleasure following the build Dirk. Congratulations. 👍 P.S. Nice work on the camera.
  6. Don Valley mfc may be under threat, we have something going off in the background which if it happens may well end our days at the current site, the opposite of "Green". Folk do like stuff and they do like it pronto and delivered free if possible, someone is seeing our site as a money making opportunity in this area, Councils seeing it as a job creator, so despite nesting/breeding Deer, Hares, Rabbits, Weasels, Frogs, Toads, Newts, Snakes, Buzzards, Kestrel, Sparrowhawks, Owls, Foxes, here we are. Green Agenda, give your head a wobble. I find it's best not to comment unless you have the facts, and maybe those might not fit your current hate target.
  7. It's the Greenacres you've seen often advertised on here, RCME contributed to events in the past, many on here have attended and enjoyed.
  8. All OLD people should give up what they enjoy, they quite cleary can't do it as well as younger folk. 😉 Aeromodelling the end is nigh.
  9. Thanks RR, even the one I posted is large enough for a small glass container, and I can't follow the logic of reusing a cleaning fluid.
  10. I figured that out Paul, I'm a Yorkshireman, how about my question re fire risk ?
  11. I don't follow ED, why would solvent in the cleaner be a fire risk and in a container not ?
  12. Anyone use one ? I want one to do carb cleans on petrol engines, one I fancy is low end of price range. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultrasonic-Cleaner-Phniti-Jewellery-Retainer/dp/B0D2W5RBF8/ref=asc_df_B0D2W5RBF8?tag=bingshoppinga-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=80814295551618&hvnetw=o&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=41110&hvtargid=pla-4584413765991744&psc=1
  13. For the benefit of all, limits will get pushed on the funnies thread, and occasionally mods will delete some, and you will not be putting mods in the position to decide which swear words are o.k, swear and they go.
  14. Yes, use a better quality piece of ply, then I lay in some wing bandage type f/glass with epoxy to spread the load.
  15. Being as we can set up to our own taste, c.g has quite a big range, if it's not pleasant when you increase throttle or work the elevator, then you've an issue, that's assuming you've not to much movement on control surfaces, we're all different and finding your own settings adds much to the days flying.
  16. Field will be open on Friday after 12pm, flying permitted but you'll fly around lads setting up, if you're camping, there's no rush to be off field on the Sunday, stay over till Monday is o.k.
  17. Thanks John, hands up, all those who took George out his team before the race. 🖐️
  18. 3rd try lucky ? Looking good for this weekend, you may need your parasol and suncream. Gate open Friday 2pm.
  19. Yes, I watch them over on iPlayer as well Matty. I hope you enjoy it, it works the grey matter as well as the body and even when the catch rate is poor the surroundings add to the day. The days of sitting on a wicker box are long gone, anglings moved on a lot, comfy padded chairs with adjustable height, arm rests, commercial venues aplenty, coarse and fly/game, parking close by, cafe, toilets onsite, hard standing in each peg, rod license is cheap and day tickets. https://www.anglingdirect.co.uk/?msclkid=dfd57fa08d2a1bc649a817ea28816835&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Generic&utm_term=Fishing Tackle&utm_content=Fishing Tackle
  20. Be careful of scammers Richard, if you get messaged a mate has one or similar from low post count messagers, it is the current MO for scammers.
