I purchased one of these: FireChief 500ml Lith-Ex Fire Extinguisher | Fire Protection Shop 100-1587 £32.39 seemed a cheap price for peace of mind. -
Mass Build 2020 - F86 Sabre - late late start
Martin Gay replied to MikeQ's topic in PSS Build Blogs
Mike, That model was fiber-glassed and then sprayed with Vallejo Model Air paint. Various panels were masked off and either a drop of white to lighten the base colour, or black to darken it, was added to the airbrush cup. It only needs a subtle colour change to make the panel stand out. Martin. -

Mike, The slots in F10 should be identical. They help to align the tailplane bellcrank and fin. Martin. -
All, I also found the youtube videos on Val's Puzzle Planes to be very useful. There is no talking on these videos so you have to have some idea of what is going on, but I used his single seat SU-25 tutorials to draw up a twin seat version for myself. I can also recommend the Fusion 360 training from Armada.co.uk. They are not exactly cheap but they taught me a lot after I had been struggling to learn Fusion 360 on my own.

Geoff, Have a look at this youtube video from Terrance at RC CAD 2 VR The rest of his videos are very good learning tools as well! Martin.

4 EDF Model Vulcan - motor/speed controller problems
Martin Gay replied to TonyS's topic in Gadgets and Electronics
Tony, My immediate thought is that the speed controllers need data/signal and negative wire from the rx to function, not just the data/signal. A circuit diagram of how you have it wired up would be useful. Even a photo of a hand drawn one would work. Martin.- 44 replies

Every time I use Fusion, I learn something new.

Roger, Good Idea. As always there is more than one way to do this sort of thing in Fusion. Martin.

You could always paste the f3d file to the forum and one of the experts can have a play and let you know how they did it!

Allan, It is one of the functions of the combine command. Martin.

Alan, I think you should be able to do a cut. This will make the "extra bits" into a new body which you can hide or delete. Martin.

Do you know someone with a vinyl cutter? They could cut them to the correct size and style.

Looking good!
