  1. Steve, My recommendation would be to have it set to 0:0. Make sure you are able to get enough up elevator as well. It may require opening the top of the fuselage slot a bit. I will take a photo of the prototype when I get home this evening. Martin.
  2. I have a few RAF German and US markings that I could share if needed.
  3. I use this site: Sign Making and Supplies: Sign Vinyl, T-Shirt Vinyl, Application Tape They offer 20 A4 sheets of random colours for £2.99 if you want to have a play with the machine. I have never use the carrier sheet or the cutting mat for what I do.
  4. I use my Silhouette Cameo 3 for making vinyl decals and paint masks. I purchased the extra feed roller for my machine, which, I believe, is built-in on the Cameo 4. The only other upgrade I went for is to the software. I think it cost all of £29 for a lifetime license for Silhouette Studio Designer Edition!! Martin.

  6. Are you dropping hints, Andy? I thought you already had a Fouga Magister!! ?
  7. This is the Jeti version. https://www.esoaringgadgets.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=46_20&products_id=448
  8. And a reliable method to keep the hand hole(s) open in use. I was surprised how much warmer my hands were when they were out of the wind.
  9. The problem with making your own one is making sure you can easily, and quickly, get to the sticks after hand launching on the slopes. I use one made by the same manufacturer as my transmitter. Not cheap, but very easy to use and well worth the cost as it means I don't have to stop flying because my fingers are numb.
  10. Ordered some parts from Phoenix Model Products yesterday morning. They arrived this morning. As usual - great service from Stan. Many thanks.
  11. €60 is for Profili XT Basic "Licence A" is only €25. Contact the designer through the website.
  12. Very impressive. I'm looking forward to seeing it at the weekend.
  13. The plan shows 165mm behind F4 (safe but nose heavy). Most of the flying Sabres are now set to 172mm behind F4 for a more neutral position. Set the tailplane incidence to the same angle as the wing, eg 0:0. 4lb 2oz is a good weight.

  15. Mike, Hopefully it will be ready to fly by 18/19 September on the Great Orme, along with all the other Sabres! Fingers crossed. Martin.
  16. I've just had a look on the Vectric website. You are correct, a graphics tablet/pen will work with my software. My initial comments were incorrectly about the operating system. My apologies.
  17. I have no idea. Hopefully someone that uses such a system will becable to educate us all!
  18. Gary, What you buy is likely to be determined by the software that you want to use. My Vectric Aspire is a windows based piece of software. I don't think it would work on an Android or Chromebook platform - not that I have tried it on them to be honest.
  19. It's always fun making canopy plugs. I'm working on one for a 1:10 Mig-15, so I know how time consuming it can be.
  20. Vortex Vacforms do a 1:10 scale Sabre canopy for the PSSA Mass build model. I think it is priced at under £10. Martin.
  21. My iCharger 106B+ has a setting that allows it to act as a power supply for a hot wire foam cutter. Works well with my Tekoa foam cutting bows. Martin.
  22. Robert, I may be mistaken, but I thought wind turbines used vertical grain balsa. Martin.
  23. Have a look at the JSP Force 8 masks: https://www.axminstertools.com/health-safety-workwear-ppe/respiratory-protection-facemasks/respiratory-protection-non-powered I now use a Force 10 with built in eye protection as well when CNC cutting. Not cheap but easy to wear for hours at a time. Martin.
  24. Looking good Mike. There are lots of views of the Sabre rear end in the various mass-build build logs: https://www.modelflying.co.uk/forums/index.php?/forum/94-pssa-mass-build-2020-north-american-f-86-sabre/ The photos may be of some use to you. Martin.
