  1. Possible 6 month sentence for carrying an airgun in a public place, up to 10 years inside for possession with intent to cause fear of violence.
  2. I'm currently building one from the Sarik kit and yes the wings are built up.
  3. Gentle warming with a hot air gun?
  4. Not sure I'd recommend a bungee for a free flight model, it works for rc gliders because you can control the model as it goes up. I've seen a couple of gliders launched with the receiver turned off and it doesn't end well. At least with a manual tow line you get to stop running and abort if it goes pear shaped.
  5. Loaded dice 30? Available from Sarik Hobbies with laser cut and additional wood packs.
  6. "Should you have any questions, during the assembly and setup, Mario I. Arguello (MIA), the designer, is available for technical support via our Contact Us page." from the link below MIA web site
  7. Spektrum receivers with Safe Plus feature have RTH and self landing ability but they appear to be model specific and not transferable/adjustable.
  8. None of the lemon receivers have RTH. I have flown models with the lemon stabilizer plus receiver and it does help if conditions are gusty. However there is a downside, the receiver takes about 15 seconds to initialise, not a problem when you first switch it on before take off but a potentially large problem if the receiver loses signal in the air, 15 seconds is a long time to be out of control. This happened to me flying a Hobbyking Skipper, fortunately the failsafe was set to engage self levelling mode so as the model descended from a loop the motor cut, the model rolled upright, pulled out of the loop and performed a downwind landing about 20 feet away from me, all this before the receiver regained contact. When a similar thing happened with a Spektrum Ar620, the telemetry reported a hold and around a second later I was back in full control.
  9. Did you hear about the Irishman who believed in reincarnation? When he died he came back as a tin of condensed milk!
  10. You will need a charging cable to match the connector on the battery. Plug into charger and connect battery, turn charger on, scroll through battery type options to Nimh, select charging option, auto is probably the best, select charging current, 0.5 amps would be a good start then press start.
  11. Elevator pushrod on the wrong hole at the elevator or servo end reducing the throw? Just found this Reduced elevator throw You may need to reverse the switch used for panic mode.
  12. The manual only shows how to set up a Gen2 DX6, here is a link to a video showing how to set up the DX6i and similar earlier transmitters. If your 6i doesn't have a 3 position switch you may only get the choice of beginner and expert modes. Dx6i setup Hope it helps
  13. I think that the point David was making was that if the uncle's neighbour objected to Nazi markings on the model he would also have objected to Spanish markings on the model as General Franco was a supporter of fascist Germany and Italy at the time.
  14. Ok, found it, discontinued Banggood motor, unfortunately it doesn't say how many amps it's rated to but it does say an 8x6 prop recommended for 3s. Might be worth rigging it up on a test stand with a receiver esc and battery and trying different size props to see how hot it gets or whether it burns out. Some of this type of motor are only rated to 10 amps continuous so start with a 7x4 prop and see what happens.
  15. A quick check with eCalc indicates that an 8x6 prop (Cam Carbon folding) should be OK, pulling around 20 amps at WOT. However the pitch is a bit high and the blade will be stalled when the model is static, a drop to 8x5 should solve this. Would be useful if you could give more details of the motor or post a picture.
  16. cgCalc is very useful for working out the correct balance point.
  17. Very nice Peter, does it have the 1.5 or 1.7 Ford V4 engine? Always had a soft spot for early Saabs. Almost had a Saab 900 as a company car but when my wife sat in the driver's seat and moved it back to the correct position for her to drive there was about 2 inches of rear seat legroom so I got a VW Passat estate, you could hold a tea dance in the back of one of those!
  18. It's a VW type 3 Fastback (i.e. coupe). The estate version was the Variant and they made a saloon version that was the Notchback.
  19. I remember that, one transmitter, one receiver, one battery and four servos. I had a 4 channel Sprengbrook set and the standard size linear servos were installed in spring steel clips so you buy extra clips for your models and just swap them over without fiddling around with screws. They also had some resilience in the case of a crash.
  20. That's a new one on me, what exactly is the model, helicopter, quad and manufacturer of model or current battery would be useful.
  21. Here's a bit of lateral thinking: Pour 100g of fine lead shot down the fuselage into the tail then inject superphatic glue into the fuselage with a syringe and needle, wait until its sets propping the fuselage upright. This is assuming that you used snakes for the control runs.
  22. 100g is around 9cc of lead so a cube 2.08x2.08x2.08 cm approx of lead or 3x2x1.5cm Can you cut a slot in the underside in front of the tail wheel and epoxy it in?
