  1. Lidl have these bench sanders in at the moment £35 I've just bought one quite compact with an adjustable angle table 125mm diameter disc.
  2. Tempest 2 plan view, note radiator and oil cooler, Seafury similar
  3. Used it on my Dennis Bryant Fury and VQ hurricane, 5s on both, still had to put lead in the Hurricane
  4. It would be more like a Tempest 2 as the Seafury had quite a different fuselage. But then would the FW190 nose be big enough?
  5. Seems like your mind is fine, so let's hope you can soon go flying again.
  6. Best wishes to a full recovery and I hope you live as long and as healthy as me, I am double your age.
  7. Turn the sound off Martin, I did
  8. It's the same up North , very slow this evening. Not surprised with all this rain, I would not want to work 😒
  9. Looks like the Wills Hawker factory is on double time , it must be the none alcoholic drink you form the balsa round, or is that for the boys? Looking good Richard but I think an ark is required up here the rain has not stopped all day.
  10. Deeper treads are more likely to retain screws etc. My previous car a Mercedes B class was the most puncture prone car I ever owned, two nearly new tyres written off, one by a broken bottle in the road side and the other with a chisel from a jack hammer.
  11. Cannon blisters on my Cml Spitfire no added weight, oil pastels
  12. I wouldn't like to put a 61 fs in a Durafly Spitfire Paul.
  13. Back in the 1970s we rented a large house for two weeks on a hill overlooking Torbay. Checking over the house I went upstairs and the bedroom window had a balcony with unrestricted views over the bay. I heard the drone of an aeroplane in the distance, it was a Swordfish. It seemed to take forever to get across the bay as it passed where I was standing it was only slightly higher than me, a fantastic sight. I have heard the German ships had trouble shooting them down as they were too slow for the gun sight synchronisation, they did not fare so well against the fighters.
  14. I must have been short changed, my Warbirds FW190 is 52" span
  15. Welcome back, it is probably the same Ken Anderson who contributes to this forum, he started the funnies thread. You could try giving him a P.M I'm sure he would be happy to see his limbo dancer still exists.
  16. Hi Chris, mine stays on the dolly till I give it a touch of elevator. Flying alone I run it to the edge of the strip then take off that, way that way I'm clear for landing. Being the old man of the club, when others are there the recover the dolly for me and complain if I take it too far away.
  17. Long legs are fine for the 190 Chris
  18. Not so calm in NW Durham, nice to see the sun and blue skies, flew the Warbirds FW190 and broke a prop first landing, gusty conditions replaced prop and carried on. Also flew my depron 109f. 5 turned up today.
  19. Well sods law struck, first flight today I broke a prop landing the 190. Sunny day but blustery wind just on touch down I heard the click, the 12" not 22 prop snapped. After replacing it no more problems.
  20. My eyes are getting worse, long sight is great reading off the phone poor. It should be 12x6 Hopefully a minor operation on Friday will help.
  21. I have a 22x6 on mine, Racestar 4250 800kv, more than scale speed, less chance of a prop breaking and 7 min flights.
  22. Good crowd today at our strip, the cool breeze dropped off in the afternoon, had some good flights with the Warbirds Replicas FW190 and the Brian Taylor Corsair.
