  1. Tried one of these from Banggood, about £40/£45 - does what it says on the box, fitted at the time to a Flying Wing. ZOHD Kopilot Lite Autopilot System Flight Controller with GPS Module Return Home Stabilization Gyro for FPV RC Airplanes Fixed-wing
  2. Hi, I have one of the Timbertech guns and have had reasonable result with it. They also come with several needles and tips for various spray pattern sizes. They do need the paint thinned correctly as they clog quick quickly. Or use something like Vallejo ModelAir colour which start off the correct 'thinness' to start with. Couple of example attached... Tony Nihjuis 72" Lanc and TN Mosquito
  3. Geoff S, take a look at this..... RAF / USAAF M-357-A dinghy kite (historicflyingclothing.com) Colin
  4. "Target weight" with or without battery? I've just about finished the build, and am pleased to find that without battery I'm under TN's "target weight" of 1,300g. But the 400g battery pack is going to take me significantly over Hi, Mine has come out at 1060g without a battery installed, it has been glassed and painted, so potentially heavier than just a film covering.
  5. Glen, It's a much-modified Tony Nijhuis 46" Mossie. Electric powered, with electric retracts and a more rounded/shaped fuselage.
  6. 4-Max offer 3 bladed props, which I'm using on my Mossie with no problems. 3 blade props from 4-Max
  7. Ditto..... The Mini2 is an excellent drone, I bought mine as a starter with the intention of upgrading to something with a better camera after 12 months or so but have decided I don't need to upgrade as the quality of the images is excellent. Amazed at the quality so I'm sticking with my Mini2 as well
  8. I've tried the SUN25 and it doesn't appear to work correctly online...... £44 order only gets £4 off. I've cancelled the order Sorry!
  9. Tony Nijhuis has go to be high up on the list for me. Having built and flown a number of his Models.
  10. George at 4-max is now selling various sized LED rings that change colour depending on throttle position..... LED Afterburner Lights For 50mm, 64mm 70mm and 90mm EDF (4-max.co.uk)
  11. Toolmakers tip..........When drilling sheet metal, if you place a about 4 pieces of rag between the drill and where you want to drill the hole. Then drill through the rag into the metal, it stops the drill wobbling and produces a nice round hole.
  12. Jason, that should have said 'front'. See picture Allen, Possibly not the best position, but it works. It also allows enough room to squeeze the ESC in, if the fan was at the front it starts to get complicated
  13. Jason, I ran the motor leads out of the motor pod underneath the pod 'supports' at the back. You don't really notice them. You can just about see then in Tony's build photos. Allan, George at 4-Max recommended extending the battery leads as modern ESC can now cope with this. The battery leads where then joined together to make a sort of 'Y' lead. I also shortened the Motor leads to be able to fit the wiring and ESC within the Pod.
  14. Bees, Glue a small piece of balsa to the Tabs with the grain 90degrees to the tab... It helps a lot.
  15. 4max do spare bearings, just type 'bearings' into the search box on there home page.
  16. RONOS, "Two are standard and two are pushers". Do you really mean pushers or opposite rotation? Why not email George at 4-max and ask him. He actually owns and flies the original Tony Nijhuis Sunderland as featured in RCME. Sounds like cheap batteries to me and the voltage is collapsing as mentioned by Martin. I run a Tony Nijhuis Lanc on a single 3S5000 and can get a good 15 minutes flying on a calm day, never had any problems with batteries - 4max supplied.
  17. Just Type 1/8 scale Vickers machine gun into google or similar. Several come up around £13 As an aside I spent 10years making the fuselage of a real Walrus W2718 for Dick Melton avaition! Which I believe was last seen as Duxford.
  18. Graham, I'd email or speak to George at 4-Max. He's got a range of adaptors and shafts etc. Colin
