  1. I've made my selection now and been a bit bullish about it! All money spent so included a few outsiders. Would be good to see Mercedes given a closer run but part of me would like Lewis to win again
  2. Hi John I have also won a phone twice? I have assumed it is a scam and not gone any further to reclaim them !
  3. Yes the maplin station is now longer available, but there are others. We bought a couple when they were selling up. The same with the solar panels. So far they have not been vandalised but are a bit exposed.
  4. We have one at our club. We use a maplin weather station, the information is then delayed via a cheap Phone sym and it is displayed on pws weather site which We also display on our club site..We have had it for quite a long time and our resident tech guru made it from an article in the bmfa news! Unfortunately its under repair at the moment as it got wet recently, we power it from a couple of napkin cheap solar panels to charge a 12 v car battery. I expect it will be up and running again soon.
  5. Thanks,John I have joined as oyster f1. Looking forward to the picking of a team and the start of racing
  6. Hi, I've not entered this before but have registered in fantasygp, can I join the forum team please ? Glenn
  7. Trying to set up latest posts as suggested by Matty B but I do not get the bar with the options on after selecting all activity. Any ideas ? Thanks Glenn
  8. I also have the Volantex 2.4 from Bangood and found it good value for the money.
  9. I have a set of wing ribs for a puppeteer from igull and they are really good quality. It will be my winter project as I have the original plans.
  10. Thanks Nick & Trevor. I hadn't thought of that it has fixed the issue only another three warbirds to bind and then test out.
  11. Glad you managed to sort your binding issues out. I have another query regarding Ar 8000 rx with DX9 tr. When I switch on and the receiver carries out its initial checks it moves a couple of servos, one of which is the retract. This has the effect that they retract often dumping the model on its wheels if I don't remember. Is there any way of changing this so it moves say a rudder servo? Thanks Glenn
  12. Does this count? Hoping to convert this pile to a scratch build Puppetteer.
  13. Thanks for the help with Adobe reader, I was not aware of the usefulness of this program. ow that I can se the full size the biggest challenge for me is going to be the parachute itself. So I relieved to see the latest batch of photos which offer some encouragement. Glenn
  14. I have found the plans but how did you print them out larger all I have is one A4 sheet.
  15. Have used Poly C over painted models on numerous occasions, mainly Flair paints the results are Ok and it has not effected the paint but it does get better the longer you can leave it before getting fuel on it and make sure you wipe as much as possible off at the end. It does make the paint slightly yellow if the paint is light coloured. I use 10 nitro so it is a good indication of how effective it can be.
  16. Very interested. We have tried many variants with mixed results., and some we've never seen again!
  17. I also use a small block under the valve and ring spanner to depress the spring I find using a small screwdriver that has been magnetised helps to locate the collets and prevents then flying away.
