  1. I have this engine in a corsair and noticed end float when hot, it also had a bit of a whine. It would run well and tick over ok but I changed both bearings. The rear bearing felt a bit rough. The end float has gone so I would change them, maybe you also need to tune the slow running screw as well.
  2. The threads in the cylinder head of one of my much run OS 70 are showing signs of wear, is there a fixative like thread lock that is suitable for high temps
  3. Well done Richard, that looks superb can't wait to get my hands on the kit. I can't make Buckminster as it's a bit too far for a day trip but hope you all have a good time.
  4. I've just caught back up with this thread after a couple of weeks, if my hopefullness is correct do I detect that a mosquito might be in the pipeline?? If so put me on the list and thanks Richard. Looking forward to building jet another excellent kit.
  5. I have a battery heated gillet that I wear under a boiler suit in the coldest days. I doesn't get hot but just keeps the chill off on the lower setting and will last most of the day. The most difficulty is keeping fingers warm and mobil.
  6. I have recently installed a lemon rx in glider and am also using nx transmitter so interested as to how to switch the telemetry in and off by a switch. As although it useful it drives others on the flight line nuts!
  7. Let's mention the mosquito!😎 Come on Richard you know you want to really
  8. This might be if you have stability selected, some spektrum receivers do the same.
  9. Thanks Brian That looks to be what I'm looking for.
  10. Thanks for the replies, it is the adapter plate I'm looking for. The one shown is for flightless what I'm after is one to take jst xh connectors.
  11. I've been given an e station bc 8 charger, but cannot find anywhere in the UK to get a jst xh adapter to take 8 s batteries. Any I ideas??
  12. Flew my L.A. 7 for the first time this year, I'd forgetten how well it flies and how stable it is on landing absolute joy. Tonge in cheek now hopefully the mossie will be just as good!!
  13. Oddly enough a young lad turned up at our field with one of these. He has never flown before so I had the first flight, in intermediate it coped with the wind reasonably well, in expert it is a nightmare due to the wind. The lad had a couple of flights with it once at a decent altitude and it servived him getting it back in the ground as it is so light that a hard arrival does not damage it. I could see in a calm day it would fly quite well.
  14. Managed to get a quick bit of chaos in before the wind got up. All flown and returned.
  15. It's got to be a Mossie, dolly take off and belly landing. You know it makes sense Richard!😎
  16. We also fly several hawks together, can you let us have info on the strobes you have used ?
  17. Pussycat weighs 1lb 3oz or 540grms without battery. Having looked a bit closer the prop is 6 x 4, it draws 27A and 300 watts. The motor gets quite hot hence the cooling slot at the back.
  18. I'll weigh mine tomorrow and put a,watt meter on it.
  19. This is the tail end of my very old pushycat which is still flying. The motor is an outrunner with a high kv, the prop is 7 x 5. I get about 6 mins flight time with 3s 2200 battery.
  20. There's a danger we are getting more fun out of playing with our dollys instead of flying !!!😎
  21. They were 3d printed to make sure they had enough of a flat to run on the gutter
  22. These are a couple of dolly that I've tried, both have worked to a certain degree. The one running in a 4" gutter is good if the grass is longer it wet. The other is a better bet and is steerable as it has a rx linked to the model and programmed to the rudder.
  23. The new pla is definitely stronger, but also a bit heavier.
