  1. I really like mine, it is what the X12S should have been. LUA adds a whole new dimension to the TX. I also thought I would not need it, as I used them seldom if ever on my X12S but I am converted. A big shout out to those who can code them so that us mere mortals can enjoy them. Setting them up is a breeze and not at all complicated. Many of them also work on the X12 and X10 with the ISRM upgrade or the Express model of the X10. Please someone develop one for the SMModelbau Unisens-E If you go down the route of the Tandem receiver, you will also need to update the RF firmware to the latest 2.2.0 as this adds support for TDR18. The Tandem RX will also need a firmware update. OTA updates are simple once the RX is Registered and bound. Like my other FrSky TX I keep a copy of the latest files on the SD card to make things simple. Always test your settings after an update. I have found no issue`s with the process.
  2. Thought I had something else buried in a folder somewhere!!! This PDF should help. Switching between OpenTX and ETHOS.pdf
  3. It is currently 997 pages, mainly geared towards the X20 but this is possibly the best resource for ETHOS. ETHOS
  4. Ron, you must have replied before I edited my post where I said that I would not go back to OpenTX?. So far I have not found anything other than "instant trim" which has been raised as an issue that I could do in OTX that ETHOS lacks. I can lend you an X12S with ETHOS on if you want to have a play.
  5. I recall that the X12S running ETHOS does not have the Flash drive. It may be the same for the X10
  6. Nice one Ron, I look forward to seeing it in the flesh.
  7. And LUA has landed. So far I am really liking the new LUA scripts. Ads a whole new dimension.
  8. Elite Models are showing stock due in later this month for wheels. I shall be following with interest, as I built and rebuilt mine at least three times, before finally not rebuilding it. If I were you I would reinforce the rear end of the "tub" with some thin ply to avoid the problem I had. My build for what it is worth is here. MY build.
  9. And a lovely model it is too. These taken last week of the same model. Tempted myself!
  10. Smoothing depends on the plastic used. A good place to start. Smoothing And another. Smoothing Some involve nasty chemicals and others just need some elbow grease and time. Hope that helps.
  11. Well I am going to blame the wife for that one. She told me it was Shelia!!!! We are hanging off booking at the moment, but the first place we will be going is to Malta. kevinfairgieve ip..21 foot in mouth dept.
  12. Hi Ken we are both fine, hope you and Shelia are both well. Two years is nothing, the Farmhand has been ready for six years. The carb will need a strip and rebuild, no doubt the diaphragms will have dried out and a thorough airframe check will be needed. New battery`s as I know I robbed them for something else.
  13. Haha @Ron Gray, I could have worded that better. ?
  14. Believe it or not, it sits in the shed complete and unflown. I joined a new club last year with more open space and not surrounded by trees on three sides, maybe 2022 could be the year. I have to say that I am embarrassed to admit this.
  15. 6h 58m 9s ago I set my printer going and walked away.. Nothing fancy just a well levelled bed, no other aids. You can get some damn good results if you don`t mess around. Cura 4.11.0 Standard Quality no messing with the settings.
  16. No idea about Fusion, but. I use OpenOffice a free alternative to MS Office. Openoffice. Does everything MS Office does.
  17. I have an old ASP with the same issue. I just put an M3 bolt all the way through with a locknut. Thus far it has run with no issue`s at all. It did need a little retune first off, but I expected that.
  18. I have a copy on another computer. Give me an hour or so.
  19. That one soon went, but I just paid £4.27 for another one. Well I do have a granddaughter due in January...?
  20. A little anecdote. When my first grandson was born 2 1/2 years ago, my daughter asked for a book from each member of the family for him to create a small library. As I had two copies of this book, one was swiftly dispatched as his library book. Who knows, if you sow the seeds when they are young he may be a flyer of the future. If he comes to visit at the weekend and the car is not on the drive he pipes up with "Grandad has gone flying, all day!"?
  21. I have done the same @Ron Gray. But there is still that little nagging doubt. charging is a lot less frequent with the "upgrade", but is still done with caution. x20 all sorted charging wise.
  22. My chosen battery is this one. Battery This is a backup radio so does not come out often. For personnel and safety reasons I have always taken the battery out and charged it separate from the TX. I only wish my two Horus X12S had removable batteries and now the X20 has a LiPo with only a balance lead!
  23. The full manual can be found here. Manual. I have a TX16S as my back up, backup, for my OpenTX TX.
  24. In spite of the frequent software update`s the I generally do at each "Major" update, I am still very muck liking my Tandem X20S. So much so that I have just got another ISRM to update my second X12S to the new ACCESS protocol. These are now purely back up TX as everything is on the X20. I used to have one X12 for electric and another for I.C. Thus far I have not found the need to download the "X20 Simulator" as programming is made very easy using the touch screen.
