John Privett
Spending Saturday at the show at Blackbushe - looks like good weather for it for a change. Sunday - who knows... Power flying in the afternoon or I might lob something off the slope at Colley Hill. Grand Prix to watch too.

Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Quite dull here - but I'm off to the strip in a minute. Going to have a go with my new keyfob camera. Tomorrow is the club fun fly - baloon bursting, limbo comp etc. We've had to abandon the spin comp since someone got a Goollie - those things spin mental - you lose count after about 70! Adrian Smith 1
Just about a perfect weekend in the making. Flew my Weston Capiche 140 this morning into a 9mph wind and she handled aeros and landing beautifully! Stopped to watch WW2 Douglas DC3 Dakota perform over Redlingfield in Suffolk to salute a new war memorial for a crashed US bomber crew in 1943. Those radial engines are a sound to behold. Sunday sees the "Sally B" B17 fly over Horham in Suffolk to salute the guys of the 95th Bomb Group if the weather holds. Life is great!! Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
That vinyl silk is a swine to heat shrink Just come back from a great day - except my camera didn't work But I'm not I had some great flights. Quite a strong wing but almost in line with the strip so not real problems. Lots of fun and the "fun fly" still to come tomorrow - bring it on! simon burch
Had a couple of hours flying my planks. Left heli's at home as too tired at the moment to concentrate that hard. Not flown for over a month, so good to get out. Wish I'd took my glider, some massive thermals coming through today. Cheers, Simon
Paddy Fidling
Maidened St Models dg1000 today. My first glider - It was brilliant.Retractable motor system lets a self launch available. For a glider! First glider flight and caught my first thermals, (other than in the real gliders!)
Pete B
Choppy air here but maidened the West Wings Fournier, which was a bit more exciting than I'd anticipated! Having joined the wings with 40mm dihedral rather than the specified 4 inches (don't ask) I was prepared for a loss of lateral stability but it seemed to have a mind of its own..........I suspect the C of G was a bit marginal too. Managed to regain some sort of control when it was about 400 yards away over the valley and was able to crab it back to a safe landing about 50 yards from me - phew!Put the Sea Fury about after that just to make me feel better......... I've put the wing joint through the scroll saw this evening, made up a new dihedral brace and it is all drying, with the correct dihedral, as I type........... Try again tomorrow, after the Monaco GP of course.............. Pete
