Martin Harris - Moderator
Mike, You should be able to fold a Cub screen from flat sheet. Williams Bros. do WW1 cylinders and (possibly still do) crankcases in various scales.Edited By Martin Harris on 21/09/2010 20:39:

Mike E
Thanks KC - that's where I started - they have been excellent in the past but all is not right at the moment so I need an alternative
kc
Are Vortex still selling aircraft stuff? The other firm who supply some of the Plan Service canopies is Sarik http://www.sarik-vacform.com/aircraft.html
Mike E
Thanks for the alternative - I will have a look to see if they can help. Vortex are still advertising, but a package sent to them was rejected and returned unopened to me and they have not replied to my e mails requesting further information about this or my initial request for other items. Totally out of character as they provided excellent service in the past????????
kc
It would be worth asking Sarik what's happened to their competitors......I bet they know because modelling is a small world.
Ernie
Hi Mike, There are radial/rotary engine cylinders available. Try Mick Reeves, who make some basic bits that can be worked on to give an impressive result. Also, try williams brothers from Proctor in America. Finally, Arizona model aircrafters make some nice bits, but its a new mortgage job Now, if its a rotary le rhone etc., and you want to give it a whirl, that's a challenge ernie
