The same model is actually available from HK UK at £214.......................when they have them in stock. **LINK** Edited By Devon Flyer on 21/01/2013 18:09:13 No definately £209.91 or are you including postage? and they have some stock. Daithi O Buitigh
Actually the £209 price is from Hong Kong. In the German warehouse (in stock) it's in stock at £219.09 Those are the 'first time customer' prices though (if you're a regular it will be lower) Edited By Daithi O Buitigh on 22/01/2013 12:01:

I have bought a nice Hangar 9 warbird from him through a private negotiation after it didnt reach its ebay reserve. He has loads of stuff some good some not so but and when you know the circumstances for downsizing you would see he is just trying to maximise his return. I cant see the problem? The price will vary depending on the exchange rate at the time of purchase and also on which converter you use - some are better than others at keeping updated. Here's another rip off. This guy's asking £95 inc P&P. They are available from HKUK for £54 + P&P. Edited By Devon Flyer on 22/01/2013 16:17:

..
Crispin , do you want to buy any of his stuff? If yes then message the guy or ring/text him and offer a cash price? If no then stop worrying about other peoples time and move on ?? There are more than enough rouge sellers and scammers out there to worry about a guy who cant make up his mind how much money he wants for a model. crispin church
tried that on something about 1 year ago and took so long to answer the bidding ended day before it should of done with the plane for a week later Edited By Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator on 22/01/2013 22:31:
Tony Bennett
he will not have any of them. you buy from him at his high price, he buys from hk at their price and keeps the difference.

Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Chaps - can we maintain a sense of proportion here please! Its not reasonable to make totally unforunded allegations against people because you don't see the sense in what they're doing! I've had to edit a post and a quote over this - you are disturbing me watching the Dambusters chaps! Play nicely! BEB
Peter Miller
This thread was originally for people listing really crazy things, like a crashed model listed as being in good condition. Not the prices that they asked. Look at some of the earlier postings. I have had one correspondent complaining to me about how much postage a seller was charging. He was going to complain to Ebay about it. All right, the postage was absurd but it was the seller's choice. I told him to complain to the seller. 001
I have been idly looking through ebay at old film cameras for sale, not really to buy but inquisitive as to the old cameras I used to own (Paxette, Voigtlander, Zeiss) and those beauties I coveted. (Leica etc.) (Sentimental) One seller, in the UK has a small light, common 35mm SLR body at a buy it now price that is OK. This should cost no more than £6 - £8 at the most to package and post. His postage cost? £25. So I sent a question, can I pay by PayPal and collect? You can guess the answer.
Andy Green
Hi Chris I think I'm right in saying that doing this places the seller outside the PayPal protection. They have to send to an address. Offer cash on collection see what they say. I agree the P&P is way to high, and looks like he is trying to either push the price up or cover the Ebay fees (which ebay don't allow suposedly) Andy
001
Andy, I wouldn't buy or try to buy off any seller that was trying it on in that way. The seller is leaving clues as to how accurate his/her item description might be. The current maximum P&P for film cameras is supposed to be £8.75.
