A pretty determined attack and a cracking video, thanks Seamus. Looked like a forced landing to me.
 
Many crows will mob or attack perceived predators that get too close to nests or roosting sites. In the UK the most common event is to see them mobbing buzzards which usually take little notice.
 
For anyone that's interested our carrion crow in the UK (all black and often mistaken for raven) is a race of another crow of the same species - the hooded crow - and that is what the bird is in the video.
