Andy Meade
When he started building this, we were on single channel 27mhz. We'll probably all be banned from flying before its done!
Phil Cooke
The basic cockpit furniture has been made and fitted today, with the console seating on some side panels all made from 3/16 balsa - next job is to clad this in blue foam. Chris Barlow
Looks a lot easier built up from the floor rather than working in a hole. I would like to have a go at building in a scale cockpit but wouldn't know where to start!

Matt Jones
Looking at that cockpit shot makes me mourn the increasing loss of traditional building skills.
Fly_Boy_Rez
Can't help but feel this is aimed at my beautiful ejector seat! Rez
Phil Cooke
A bit more progress on the front fuselage - all the blue foam cladding is sized and in place now ready to be sanded back to a profile more suited to the canopy... ...a little more 1/16" balsa lining is required on the inner walls down to the side consoles. Maarten Werner
Out of curiosity: what wingsection did you use Phil? Cheers, Maarten
Phil Cooke
Hi Maarten, We chose Eppler 374 for the centre panels which then translates through the outers into an increased thickness Eppler 205 at the tip, in an attempt to keep that scale solid wing look when viewed head on. Both sections as you know are well proven on the slope and should give the A-10 a steady, versatile performance, fully demonstrated now by Andy Meade with his model having flown numerous times. Mark Kettle 1
That mass is the 'inertia' Andy. Quote " The tendency of an object to resist changes in its state of motion varies with mass. Mass is that quantity that is solely dependent upon the inertia of an object " un-qoute.
Andy Meade
Ah, so you're a prime mover now - bigger mass means you move less when you chuck it?
Matt Jones
That is a great shot Phil

Andy Meade
I shouldn't be mean - I'm always very grateful for every toss off the edge I get, especially with the A10 as I know she is a pain to handle. Phil must have nearly finished his by now?
