4 Iqon Racing iqon 2258

13 Gazs Eagles Gary Goodfellow 1992
14 Essex Racing Essex Racing 1746
15 Norflok Flyer nssrcmf 1667

The only place changes were iqon grabbing 4th from Ian (they were previously equal on points) and Chris Bond taking 6th place ahead of Tony. All other positions remain the same, though Pete, in posting the highest score of the weekend slightly narrows the gap to the top place, but serepton took second place on the day and remains 73 points ahead...

Mexico next weekend, with only Brazil and Abu Dhabi left after that.

Round-by-round scores, as always, in my spreadsheet on google docs.

I have just got back from the race. As usual, a great event put on by Austin. I went last year too but it was great to get some decent weather this year!

I even had to shelter under my flags to keep the sun off!

Lewis got a great reception as did Ricciardo and Alonso. I think Rosberg was very lucky that the VSC came out for Verstappen, Max had driven the best part of a mile before pulling over, there were plenty of opportunities to pull in without the need for the crane prior to where he eventually stopped. That stopped DR from getting second position.

Technically he was third, fourth and fifth!

Oh dear!!

I predicted Vettel was going to be third.....and Vettel was third!

BUT BadgerGP hasn't recognised this!!!!!

Oh dear oh dear oh dear!!!

I understand that Vettel was denoted, for telling Charlie Whiting what he is. Pity that so much was a expletive loaded rant.

Verstappen and a few others are up in arms as to why Lewis was not penalised, as he was.

Could be some time before it is all officially sorted.

It does seem to be a need for consistency. Apparently it has also be noted by some that Fernando forces some one of the track as he ran wide, whilst overtaking. Yet others have been penalised for less severe, although similar incidents.

It seem that the officials need to get their act together, in being both consistent, unbiased and fair.

There's gonna have to be an adjustment - I'm shown as getting 10pts for predicting Ricciardo as 3rd...

I'm basking in the glory of a World Ranking of 30/7325 at the moment - not for very long, I fear.....crying 2

Pete

Ah - I've just seen all the re-writing of history on the Beeb F1 pages - I might be OK after all!teeth 2

Stewards do a difficult job, time pressure, pressure from teams, safety concerns, rules getting updated, all adds a bit of spice to what was a dull race, cars/drivers that where much faster n couldn't overtake, frustration builds up n mistakes get made, massive run of areas haven't helped but driver safety's more important than any race result.

Right then! It looks like the dust has settled and the scores are up on Badger. So our league results from yesterday look like this;

Pos Team Manager Pts
1 Revers Racing Pete B 202
2 pits specials pits specials 192
3 The nut that holds the wheel johnpflyrc 172
4 Iqon Racing iqon 162
5 Lost The Track David Gilder 155
6 FalconFormulaOne Tony H 152
7 Bernies Brown Envelope serepton 151
8 S Webb F1 Racing Experts Simon Webb 142
9 Gazs Eagles Gary Goodfellow 142
10 Mannschaft Erfolg Carl Brotherton 140
11 Essex Racing Essex Racing 125
12 IPJnet F1 Ian Jones 121
13 Slopeflyers jimbo32010 121
14 Etude Racing Bond Aero 110
15 Norflok Flyer nssrcmf 79

Highest score of the day comes from Pete, with current table-topper Bernies Brown Envelope only managing 7th on the day. So how does that leave the overall league table? We'll see in a moment....

Well, Pete is gaining on BBE, but still has a bit to catch up...

Pos Team Manager Pts
1 Bernies Brown Envelope serepton 2610
2 Revers Racing Pete B 2588
3 pits specials pits specials 2465
4 Iqon Racing iqon 2420
5 IPJnet F1 Ian Jones 2355
6 FalconFormulaOne Tony H 2306
7 Etude Racing Bond Aero 2272
8 The nut that holds the wheel johnpflyrc 2232
9 Lost The Track David Gilder 2215
10 Slopeflyers jimbo32010 2213
11 Mannschaft Erfolg Carl Brotherton 2188
12 S Webb F1 Racing Experts Simon Webb 2146
13 Gazs Eagles Gary Goodfellow 2134
14 Essex Racing Essex Racing 1871
15 Norflok Flyer nssrcmf 1746

The top 5 places and the bottom 5 places stay the same, but there a few mid-table place changes.

Tony and Chris trade places with Tony up to 6th and Chris down to 7th. David and myself each advance a place, up to 9th and 8th respectively, at the expense of Carl jimbo who drops a couple of positions to 10th.

Brazil is next and the gap at the top of our table is narrowing, as is the gap in the actual F1 table. With only AbuDhabi to follow Brazil will we see place changes at the top of either of those tables?

[EDIT] I misread my own spreadsheet and incorrectly stated Carl, not jimbo, as dropping two places to 10th - corrected above!
