Another weekend, another race. And intermittent rain is forecast - so the BBC say - for the rest of the weekend in Hungary.

After a Mercedes-dominated P1 in the dry, P2 saw Vettel setting the fastest time in the wet. Though only 13 set a time at all in P2.

So what do we make of that? Whatever, there's one important message;

Don't forget your predictions!

(And yes, Simon's already done his - and thanks for giving us all a head start!)

As usual for a European race, qualifying is at 2pm Saturday UK-time, with the race at 2:10pm on Sunday.

... besides the usual 'igor vs john' verbal war, does anybody know why the results are not published yet?

The stewards judged Albon's crew behavior on the starting grid to be OK.

What's keeping us out of results then? ... not that Renault's regular complaint against the Pink Merc, I guess

Cheers

Chris

Not sure Chris - the site says,

"The numbers are crunching following the Hungarian GP

Results due by 9pm BST"

So that should mean some time in the next 40 mins or so. The terrestrial coverage of the race in the UK is scheduled to go on until 10pm, so even if the results are on fantasygp at 9pm I'll wait until the channel 4 coverage is over - they're currently only on lap 10...

... thank you, John.

... super efficient as always. cool

Continental EU being one hour later than UK, I think I'll have to discover it during breakfast tomorrow morning then...

Not that I'm expecting a lot of it though. crying

Cheers and stay cool, young man

Chris

OK, I can see the channel 4 coverage is on the closing laps, so I'll start copy/pasting the results and be ready to hit the 'Add Posting' button as the flag falls!

Here are the results for our league today;

1 The improved Webby Racing team Simon Webb 169
2 Crashtestdummies Brake Test 157
3 Team Charles Picd Charles Pic 157
4 Revers Racing Pete B 155
5 PSS Power Flyer 154
6 Essex Racing Tony Clark 150
7 Roos Racers rk295 140
8 Torque of the devil Stu 131
9 2020 Vision johnpflyrc 129
10 GASTON Formula Chris McG 125
11 Pitts Specials john stones 122
12 Iqonic racing iqon 121
13 Flying Eagles Gary Goodfellow 109
14 Norfolk Flyers Kevin Fairgrieve 98
15

AeroArrows

Bondaero 79
16 teewrex John Tee 68

So a great result from Simon, making up for lost time with 169 points and top place today. Our anonymous (who is it?) 'Brake Test' takes second equal with Charles on 157 points. Pete and Flyer are hot on their heels too.

And after 3 races, the overall table looks like this;

Pos Gain/Loss Team Manager Pts
1 - Revers Racing Pete B 458
2 + 2 Crashtestdummies Brake Test 446
3 + 2 Team Charles Picd Charles Pic 445
4 + 3 PSS Power Flyer 427
5 - 2 2020 Vision johnpflyrc 427
6 - 4 Pitts Specials john stones 423
7 + 3 Essex Racing Tony Clark 408
8 - 2 GASTON Formula Chris McG 407
9 - Torque of the devil Stu 394
10 - 2 Iqonic racing iqon 385
11 + 1 Roos Racers rk295 361
12 - 1 Norfolk Flyers Kevin Fairgrieve 343
13 - Flying Eagles Gary Goodfellow 295
14 - teewrex John Tee 248
15 - AeroArrows Bondaero 230
16 - The improved Webby Racing team Simon Webb 169

Pete holds on to top spot today, with Brake Test moving up 2 to second. Also up 2 places is Charles, to 3rd, and Flyer gains 3 places to 4th.

I'm 2 down to 5th, with John S down 4 to 6th. Tony moves up 3 places to 7th and Chris drops 2 places to 8th. No change in 9th, but iqon is down 2 places to 10th with Robin and Kev swapping places to 11th and 12th.

Below that there are no place changes, but Simons win today closes the gap significantly to 15th place.

We get a weekend off now, then on to Silverstone for the next 2 races. Don't forget your predictions!

But i can't help myself wondering who is still playing the game 'basicly'? ...

... i.e. > who is Pro or Elite??? ...

It looks like to me that we have all entered as 'basic' players - I know for certain I have.

I am in another league on fantasygp, and I know that two of the players there are Pro or Pro Elite. When I look at the league results for that league I see a star against the Pro manager's names - a black star for Pro Elite and a white star for Pro. See below - I've obliterated the actual names for privacy reasons.

prof1.jpg

In our league I don't see any manager's name with a star against it.

That seems correct regarding the 'pro' account, John.

But the 'pro Elite' one gives you $5 million extra to spend and up to 40 free team changes... plus team spying, stats & data, etc... and the possibility to hide your type of account to the wide world...

Please see above what I posted months ago, John P...

What one can see doesn't always correspond to reality...

BTW, 'Brake Test's forum name is Don Fry...

Cheers & keep safe all

Chris

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi again,

Well, as I featured Checo in my team, now I suddenly inherited Hulkie in my squad.

I always liked the guy, but I'm not totally convinced that that will give me the opportunity to grab a few positions allowing me to try to leave my midfield place in this league.

Well...

Wishing you all a very productive Silverstone GP...

... but don't forget your predictions, gents

Cheers & stay 'cool'

Chris

Right then - slightly later than usual... I got distracted with other stuff!

Don't forget your predictions!

Looking at P1 and P2 results I'm not sure what the heck to predict. thinking But I've predicted something and will probably change my mind after P3!

Race and qualifying at the usual times, 2pm on Saturday and 2:10 on Sunday (UK times)
