Robert Parker Posted July 20, 2015 Share Posted July 20, 2015 Hi Heinkel, I built one a long time ago and it was a real handful on the ground, it never completed its maiden flight as mine on reflection was tail heavy I think, it was very twitchy on the elevator and I was over compensated until it went in nose first. I was sure the CoG was right, however, I may have pulled too early at too low an airspeed to get out of the long grass. Just thought I'd pass on my own experience. Bob Cotsford Posted July 21, 2015 Share Posted July 21, 2015 I got so fed up with the ground handling on mine that I put a gyro on the rudder which I switched in for take-off and landing. I cant remember but I may have added some lead to the tail but it's been through a variety of power sources over the years. I've got to say that mine never looked anywhere near as good as yours!
