Tony Bennett
as this is only sport scale i decided to just paint the windows on. Edited By Tony Bennett on 15/09/2016 20:06:
brokenenglish
Tony, Not wishing to be nit picking but, in my day, the Varsity didn't have all those windows. Even the Viking and Valetta windows were fewer and a lot smaller... Were the Varsities modified in their later years to have many more and much bigger windows? Tony Bennett
this is the pic i was working from. Admittedly mine might be a bit tall though, but as it is only sport scale i am not that worried. brokenenglish
OK Tony. Those used on the Nav school in the early sixties were like this one, which is the only version I'm familiar with. Obviously other versions have been made with more windows, i.e. more a passenger carrying role than crew training. Anyway, yours is going to be a great model. I'm really looking forward to seeing it finished and flying! Edited By brokenenglish on 15/09/2016 20:39:
Tony Bennett
if i finish it sir, that is. there are less windows on the other side because of the door.
Peter Miller
Tony, The larger "Window" is the escape hatch. The actuala winodw is the same size as the others with a metal surround.

Edited By Tony Bennett on 15/09/2016 20:24:28 If this is the one you're modelling them you've made a serious error. Yours seems to have wings and a tail Actually it's looking really good. I go for sport scale, mainly because I'm rubbish at detail and finishing but that doesn't seem to be your problem. Geoff

William Macleod
looks amazinh. i remember at RAF Oakington in 1972 on the ME conversion course they used to start the engines first thing in the mor ning, change crews during the day, whilst the engines were running, and shut it down at the end of the day. Tony Bennett
flaps, ailerons all fitted now. need to connect up all the servos next and then i can finish it off ready to fly. all in weight with 5000mah 4 lipo is just under 6lb. it has 2 x 400 watt motors, so it should have enough power.
