reg shaw
Looks like a variant of the Yak 18. Not seen the bulged cowl and trike combination before though? Ian.
MattyB
I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, but to this beholder that has all the elegance and beauty of a house brick! Jon H
Could it be an early yak52?
PatMc
It's the 18U. IIRC Pete Miller had a C/L semi-scale stunt Yak18 published in Aeromodeller but I'm can't remember which version he chose to base it on.
Peter Miller
In fact it was this version Quite a nice model. I did toy with an R/C version a while ago but lost interest. I still have the plastic kit of it. I also have an excellent set of 1/10th scale Polish scale drawings of the aircraft. It was later developed into the very successful 18 PM competition aerobatic aircraft
reg shaw
Love the Yak 18 PM, one of the last big aerobats, they're all tiny flighty pieces now, the grace has gone!
