john stones 1 - Moderator
Not much excess weight in there Robbie
Robbie Skipton - Skip Model Designs
There is a little... but where do you draw the line... weight save to the max and have minimal strength..to which more than likely, you will need to beef up areas... or go to a safe limit and suffer with 1/2 pound extra weight.Personally im not overly critical on making planes stupidly light, especially on a biplane.. Robbie Skipton - Skip Model Designs
44% pitts challenger 2 flying today . One happy customer... way over powered on a 150cc.. its flew round at 1/4 to 1/3 power.... and for the first time i have ever known this model accellerated vertical.. flying speed at full power was 100mph! Engine Doctor
40% of what? It looks small to me for 150cc ! I know that the Pitts is a small plane but those bits look too small . Something of known size to put the pics into perspective would help . Good luck with build.

Geoff S
A bit bigger than the Fugly I bought at Cosford and test flew a couple of days ago Much as I love biplanes 44% is for me to admire from afar but I could be interested in a 20% or 25% (22%?) version. The big ones I saw at Cosford looked stunning. Geoff Edited By Geoff Sleath on 12/08/2017 16:27:
