This particular piece is just so soulful, beautiful and ethereal. Close your eyes, Imagine yourself soaring majestically in the sky and simply allow yourself to fly with the music. Steve. Just goes to show what a discerning audience we all are when it comes to great music. There's so much unrecognised talent going on in bedrooms and small studios and garages all around the world that often blows the socks off of much of today's mainstream popular music. Steve. Mark Kettle 1 Posted February 11, 2017 Share Posted February 11, 2017 Good choice Josip, I used Karl Jenkins music when filming Stan Cooper and Brian Kettle float flying, sadly both have passed away now, but the flying video and choice of music feels more and very poignant now, do spend a little time to watch the video to the end as it has a nice ending. Harry Twist Posted February 12, 2017 Share Posted February 12, 2017 Hi, Reading this thread has reminded me of a 45rpm vinyl single I bought in the 1980's! ( I know ..I know ..). On the record was music from a film made about the Red Arrows in 1980, made not long after moving on to the Hawk. One side of the record was called "Hypercharge" the flip side was called "Fly " - one fast dynamic tune plus one much more gentle tune. If I remember rightly the music was written specifically for the Red Arrows film. Any way thought you might like to see and hear it... so here is a link. Its 1980s filming - so not digital but there are some good air to air shots! The start is the dynamic music - the calmer gentler music starts around 2 minutes 30secs in. Bert Kaempfert Afrikaan Beat, - 'Swing Safari' Also the music is in the background at this a Boeing 747 display at Duxford in 2003 - I was their it was great, low and slow and flying tight in like a Cessna. Soundtrack I guess choose by the company who transferred from cine to VHS. If any children are watching don't copy the adults and start smoking. A little about the video. You Tube Published on 14 Aug 2016 by Geoff Milnes This is a cine film transferred to VHS in 2003 of the Keil Kraft model factory shot in the 1960s. Keil Kraft produced balsa wood model aircraft kits some of which were gliders or scale and sports models powered by i.c glow or diesel engines and some by jetex or wind-up rubber bands. Keil's Kraft representative Fred Westerman obtained the VHS copy. The well loved end product's seen in the video, however we did not know the kit's were produced without guarding on the machines or visible dust extraction. See workers like the General Manager Eddie Cosh at 1:24, also at 4:29 there's a guy pushing wood through a table saw by hand using his left hand, he is missing the end of his thumb on that hand! Plus huge stacks of balsa wood seen everywhere and they're allowed to smoke onsite. Also see how serious the workers are? I only saw a lady waving from her machine at 7:30, and I really like their delivery van and the dog in the larger lorry at 13:10. This cine was filmed when people had to do something before modern TV, which sadly now totally takes over our modern lives.
