Cor blimey, I almost chocked!

As one threatened with being banned for using a word that is used both in the Harry Potter books and in the film, I cannot believe it. The very same week, the same word was on the front page of the Telegraph. That is without considering the many other historical uses of the word to identify historic figures.

II felt so strongly about both the issue I seriously considered just going to the US forum.

Now Simon, is that what you wanted?

I agree that their illiberal approach to language can be a bit OTT (I've been ticked off for using a word that's mentioned in law books) but the flipside is Facebook groups, where any idiot can post whatever they like...

Erf, I just re-read my entire Harry Potter collection, and I can't find any reference to Traplet anywhere!!!

Joking aside, yes, totally agreed. That this forum is far more civilised and readable than many other forums is largely down to the diligence of the mods. It really shows up when trying to follow threads, when looking at topics that have already been discussed, perhaps several years ago.
