Nigel Hampson 2
Hi everyone. Im new to the site and need a bit of help please.I have recently saved a huge rc Mosquito from destruction after an abandoned house was being cleared by its landlord. Im trying to identify which kit it is and to get an angle on its value, which will then help me decide weather i restore it etc.

Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services
Could possibly be the Bryan Taylor one, possibly plan built
Nigel Hampson 2
Hi Dylan. Ive just come to that conclusion. Apparently in the mid 1970's, so ive just discovered, Powermax made a short lived kit. This seems to be one of those. The fuselage and engine cowls are one piece fibreglass mouldings.Edited By Nigel Hampson 2 on 16/10/2017 22:53:

Its definitely fibreglass one piece fuselage with fibreglass engine nacelles.Shes far too big a project for me to tackle. Im unemployed so lack either the resources or the experience to get her sorted. If anyone is interested and would like to make me an offer ill let her go to someone who can get her sorted out. bert baker
There was a Powemax Mosquito in bring and buy at BMFA Natts this year I had one in kit form, sold it on, they were designed to be powered by two Saito 120 four strokes

Jon H
I had a look at the photos. The wings appear to need some help. Are they foam cores with veneer? There is also a twist in the tail but I cant tell if the tail is broken or the fuselage twisted Where are you as well, I need to work out if you are with range as I'm guessing it will be a collection only job! Nigel Hampson 2
Hi Jon. Yes the wings are foam veneered. The starboard wing is broken just outboard of the engine nacelle. It is a clean break and would be an easy repair. What looks like a twist in the tail isnt. The horizontal tail section isnt attached and had just slipped over. It just needs reattaching
Nigel Hampson 2
Forgot to say there is no twisting in the fuselage, its folid fibreglass and i live in Burnley Lancashire

Jon H
I just checked the map. Looks like I will have to get my passport to go all the way up there. Not sure what to do as its an interesting project... Ill have a think. If someone beats me to the punch then that's my fault for being slow
