Tom Major
Hi folks. I am looking currently for a way to get my xmas pressie sorted. Since I am getting more and more back into the hobby I figured out I'd like to finally get one of my all time favourites, Edge 540, which would of course be powered by an IC engine. I had a look at few kits but they all seem to be quite big (1400mm wingspan or thereabouts). I am wondering if there is anything smaller on the market? Preferably something upto about 1m span? The only reason I am looking for such a small plane is lack of transport for it (only motorcycle, no car yet sadly) and as much as I'd like to get Seagull's Edge 540V3, it will be a nightmare to carry it to local fields. What is the smallest IC powered ARTF you can think of? Thanks in advance for pointers. Tom

Tom Major
I really would prefer IC John. Have flown EP before and quite disliked limitations of it when it comes to flight time. It was very convenient on the other side and of course much cleaner, but I could trade that off for good fun with glow engine

ASH.
Tom, this Seagull offering is very nice.. Seagull's quality is one of the best in my opinion. It has a 55" two piece wing and is just over 44" long. **LINK**
Denis Watkins
When you say ARTF Tom, do you mean "no work at all" as if you are prepared to do some work There are a few small electrics that can be converted for IC, to go into the car in one piece. This involves a new bulkhead, and throttle servo routing, tank bay etc, but does not take an inordinate amount of time. https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbykingtm-extra-300l-aerobat-balsa-930mm-arf.html Edited By Denis Watkins on 05/12/2017 07:32:
extra slim
Robotbirds are selling the Hyperion edge 540t, 920mm span. Often thought of sticking an IC in one of the 10e range.. only £49..
