john stones 1 - Moderator
First game tonight in Paris...France v Wales 8pm. Enjoy the games folks, some crackers to look forward to. I'll tip Wales for tonight.
Peter Jenkins
The French can be very dangerous if they get the crowd behind them though.
Don Fry
Wales are No3 in the world. And get over this one, they are on course for a crack at a slam, or the championship. But I'm having new glazing done, and the door fitter was adamant, "les bleus, bien sûr," He didn't look too sure though. No cockiness. Have I been waiting for this. McG 6969
... aren't the French deadly 'chauvins', Don? Pretty sure John 's right... 'Power to the Red Dragon' (says the totally ignorant - is this rugby? - Belgian fan)... Cheers Chris
Peter Jenkins
The Welsh have had a poor first half. Too many handling errors and terrible tactics just before half time. Time for their manager to settle them down at half time. They need to focus on reducing the handling errors - difficult in the conditions of course! john stones 1 - Moderator
Yep congrats Wales, it's a funny old game at times, enjoyed it though. Sing up in the Valleys.
ron evans
Nightmare first half, Wales couldn't hold on to the ball against a French team who have remembered how they used to play, Better second half, and a great come back, although we still tried to lose it at the death. Well done boys
john stones 1 - Moderator
Scotland v Italy first tomorrow. Be plenty tries, Scots will win it, but I hope Italy play well, don't enjoy watching them get battered. Ireland v England later. Irish are a bit good, be happy if England play well, more speed at breakdowns would be a change for the better. Irish to win, but I live in hopes. Don Fry
Arrrrrr, but if you can take the Irish away, you have a hope anywhere. The faces on the French lads at the ends said it all, Wales were there for the taking in the rain.
Braddock, VC
In my view, the greatest step forward for wales was their ability to maintain pressure right to the final whistle, something they have often failed to manage in the past. France, also, were still up for it but individual stellar performances can show how matches can be turned around in the blink of an eye in the same way that individual mistakes can similarly affect outcomes. ron evans
I fancy England today no logic in it, but Wales showed that chasing a lost cause can sometimes defy logic.
Peter Jenkins
Interesting early refereeing decisions today. Paresee being dumped on his head was just a penalty and an intercept that made no attempt to catch the ball just a knock on. These used to be yellow card offences and penalty respectively. Lucky for Scotland!Edited By Peter Jenkins on 02/02/2019 14:44:

ron evans
Good rugby played at pace by both teams, deserved win for England...wheels firmly attached. Glad Italy grabbed a few tries at the death.
john stones 1 - Moderator
Bonus point win in Dublin, if I'm dreaming "please do not disturb". Great game, best performance yet under Eddie.
Don Fry
I believe, last year, one R Gray said, correctly, do not celebrate victory until achieved. But, that was a good match. One step forward.
