Will Anderson
New to everything RC. Iv'e had a wish since I was a nipper to get involved in flying RC aeroplanes but never been able to afford one until now. Iv'e had a look around the forum and you seem to be a helpful lot. So I hope you don't mind me picking brains from time to time.

Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
Welcome to the forum Will & to your new hobby.....ask all the questions you want; there's centuries of experience on here so it's very likely someone will know the answer.... Cuban8
Hi Will. Try to visit a few clubs to see which suits you. They can differ in character and in ways of working, so you might feel more comfortable with some than others. It's a great hobby, never too late to start and you can get involved to whatever level you feel comfortable with, but don't try to do everything at once, or spend a small fortune on goodies, only to risk 'burn-out'. Keep it simple, get the basics right and progress from there. Good luck and enjoy it.
Will Anderson
Iv'e found a club about 15 mins drive from home. First nice day, I'll go and have a chat if there's any of the guys there. Meanwhile.... School time....

Will Anderson
Thanks Jonathan, I went to the club's field yesterday and met the club instructor and some of the guys. All very open, and friendly and keen for me to join.

kc
Try this thread and you will find a link to all Sonny Monks' posts. You will find his posts also lack capital letters which makes them harder to read!

Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
Looking good Will.....you're well on the way now....enjoy your new Hobby & don't forget the only stupid question is the one you don't ask. @paul coleman 1....Hi Paul, welcome to the forum. It might be an idea to start your own thread rather than hijack another newcomers thread. Tell us a bit about yourself, about the clubs around the Leeds area. It might make it easier for Sonny Monks to find you too.....
