Dai Fledermaus
Anyone know where I can buy one or several if needs be, Hitec Optima aerial mounts? They seem to be as rare as - well something really rare. I was going to make a reference to rocking horses, but I thought better of it. 😚
Alan Gorham_
I'm not sure they have ever been available separately. I've only got one when I bought a new receiver. I don't use them though, I just build a little mount out of actual wood that can be made to fit conveniently into the model's structure. Dai Fledermaus
They were available in packs of ten Alan, but no longer it seems.
Bucksboy
Use a fat straw from your favourite fast food place, hot glue gun the straw in place, insert aerial.
Alan Gorham_
It does seem like the most pointless accessory known to man, no wonder they stopped selling them!
Keith Berriman
Having used them over the years I assume the rubber mount is there for a reason but I have various model with the end just held in place with some white tack and in one model I have it held in place with a small tyerap Edited By RC Plane Flyer on 25/07/2019 17:26:

robert chamberlain
seems I have more planes than receivers. Now using Hitec Optima 6 sport equipment. I plan on mounting one on a piece of light ply. I have never really noticed any getting hot after a flight but did not want to mess up the case area exposed to air flow by doing so. I plan on mounting one on its side to expose the bottom and attaching it to the fuselage with 2 magnets. Easy to move from one plane to another. Magnets don't affect the rec, do they? --BoB in Kansas
iqon
If ever i cant find one., I just drill a hole in piece of scrap balsa & stick to airframe.
