Balsaloc is Balsaloc Max, and have never found anything like it, not even PVA

Whatever they may add, perfume or whatever, it is not wallpaper paste.

My suspicion is that it is a PVA derivative with the addition of some " no soap "

No soap was an extremely good cleaning fluid we used in garages to remove grease and oil, and it smelled

Like Balsaloc,

If you need Balsaloc, use Balsamic

Just my view

The glue I bought from the local pound shop for sticking down edges of wall paper turned out to be PVA which I ended up using to cover foam wings cores with lining paper.

I wouldn't use standard PVA as a heat sensitive adhesive as I don't think it's very effective. Instead I have used Deluxe Materials CoverGrip which is made for the job.

I use Fast Tack -from haberdasheries and is a heat sensitive adhesive used by dressmakers and certainly helps covering adhesion to balsa. And I've thinned it with water successfully too.

Whether it is any good in dressmaking I've no idea as I don't wear dresses -never tried.
