Dale Bradly
I'm building a Tapsfield Spacewalker, and want to put a decent scale Cub style u/c on it. Trying to find decent options available out there. Do we have members with these models with the scale u/c options who can tell me the mounting dimensions please? Hangar 9 Carbon Cub 15cc (HAN506517) Hangar 9 Cubcrafters 60cc (HAN526024) I am aware of the Robart 690 but I deem that "non cost effective". Any other suggestions for a scale u/c to suit about a 6" wide fuse?

Martin Harris - Moderator
Perhaps a little cheeky, but you could build a Cub undercarriage based on the published drawing from the Robart website. If you have access to a lathe and silver soldering facilities it would be straightforward to build. Nick Cripps
Dale, I've added some dimensions from the Carbon Cub undercarriage to the Robart drawing referred to by Martin, below: Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything more.
Dale Bradly
Thanks for the suggestion but I'm not going to construct that, preferring to bolt on a premade unit
Dale Bradly
Nick, thanks. I'll see how that compares with my project
Martin Harris - Moderator
Here's the component parts of one I made earlier, inspired by the Robart design and modelled on the full size to suit my 1/4 scale Cub: and a close-up after a few years of use... Those Hangar 9 Cub wheels were a bargain as I recall - I wonder if they're still available?
Dale Bradly
Appreciate the effort to draw that up Nick, but it seems the Carbon Cub gear is "a size too small". We got any 60cc machines out there?
John Minchell
Try the Practical Scale one from Toni Clarke in GDR, might be the right size. John M Edited By John Minchell on 25/09/2020 12:43:
Steve Colman
A long shot perhaps but take a look at the HK Durafly Grand Tundra. It works very well and is reasonably priced. I don't have mine at hand so can't give you any measurements I'm afraid.
Matt Carlton
Not sure on sizing, but I found a kit for Cub U/C for the 15cc Carbon Cub; 15cc Carbon Cub U/C
