Rich Griff
Wanted, Cox 049's for c/l use. I have a pair of Cox fledgling wings and would like to make balsa fuz's to make them fly, but need a pair, or 2 individual Cox 049's with radial mount tanks, to get this little project off the ground. Can you help please. I am not a shop or dealer, just a frustrated aeromodeller.
Phil Green
Cox engines are still available new, I bought a Diesel Bee recently: http://www.ebaystores.co.uk/str/COXENGINES/Engines-with-Tanks-/_i.html?_fsub=2384430015&_sid=476927475 I think a Babe-Bee is the most versatile and most fun engine you can buy, they last a lifetime of modelling ? Rich Griff
Yep, know about them, based in Canada I believe ? There is another in USA.... Hope Dens model supplies near Isle of white are still gunna be there....... Need/would like a pair of 049's for the Cox wings... Also need some spares for the pair of td09's I have, real animals they are.... But first, some 049's for the wings, then a new black widow for the Cox powered fournier free plan model, been wanting to make that for the past 30 years ! , So a few months delay won't matter much.....I now have the time. Rich Griff
I now have 4 Cox 049's and a DC bantam, thanks David. So the Cox fledgling wing/ balsa fuz c/l project can proceed, flying Cox wing on Cox engine power. The 2 extra Cox will go into a powered glider or kk FF r/p c/l up scaled a bit. May even double scale kk FF rp Lysander to RC.... I am trying to find kk joker plans or similar for the bantam. Thanks again David, well pleased both of us. Nigel Sharp
Try outerzone for the Joker plans https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=4400
Rich Griff
Thanks Nigel. Plan a bit fuzzy but enough info I think. The DC bantam has a radial tank so maybe a profile fuz first for trials, then the proper fuz with a period engine. I made one of these 55 years ago !
