martin collins 1
I know it sounds a dumb question as it is `30 min` epoxy but how long do you leave stuff pinned down, i have joined the outer wing panel on a DB Moth this morning and want to move it to do the other side. Been `curing` for 4 hours, as a norm anything glued with what ever gets left 24 hours but i want to get on!..............M
Don Fry
How critical is it if it ain’t cured properly. If critical leave well alone. I would guess, it’s still a bit rubbery. You 24 hour rule sounds fine

Engine Doctor
Leave the mixing stick in the left over glue and you should be able to move the job as soon as the left over glue is hard 7sing the mixing stick as a guide.

kc
Use the leftovers to make a test joint with the same thickness of glue and test to see if the test has set. Thicker epoxy generates more heat inside itself i think, so a thin joint won't set as quickly as the big blob in the pot. Of course it takes longer in a cold outside workshop so taking the joint indoors might help.
