Rx was working ok.

Tried to bind to a different Tx and it will not enter bind mode.

It has lost its bind to the original Tx.

It is definitely the Rx as I have bound another rx to both Txs successfully.

Any clues that are more constructive than bin the receiver?

Are the Tx the same make as the AR6255?

Is the RX in the model?

are there Y leads?

Is the new Tx a DX6?

More questions to come

I would be checking the line of pins for movement, as they can come away from the board, and checking for continuity with a multimeter.

Check every pin individually for being loose, as easily repaired with a soldering iron.

All the MINUS line are common on the top row, and easily checked for continuity.

Have a servo handy and plugged into channel 1, just to hear any rotation at power up.

The bind connection is a short made by the bind plug between MINUS and bottom row Signal. Check the pins in the Rx and the Bind plug.

For testing on the bench I would use my trusty, safe, 4.8v nihm pack, and be sure black cable to the top, and red to the middle, go down the line of 3 pins to check for power up on each channel.

As you go down the line with the battery pack plug, watch and listen for servo movement too.

Just because a bind plug works elsewhere, don’t assume (make an ASS out of U and ME) it works in your unit. It’s an elderly unit. Things wear.

Was there an abrupt end of the last installation, ie it crashed?

The servo should at least twitch!

It does.

Have you tried completing the binding process despite the lack of indication of bind mode on the RX?

Yes, predictable enough, nothing happens.

I note the last sentence, your opening post.

The bin beckons, it's not heavy enough to enjoy re purposing as a paperweight.
