Engine Doctor
The Southern Model Show , the last show of the season in the south east was a good day out. Good bring and buy with helpful attentive assistants. Flightline was IMO better and more varied than the last big show in the SE. Trade attendance was a bit lower than expected but some good buys aroundand some great secondhand bargains to be had. All in all a good friendly day out, no as big as the SMS at the hop farm but still a good show with plenty to see and plenty yo entertain the children .... of all ages 😉. The commentary was informative and continued well throughout the day . Entry prices were not to bad either. To top it all the high pressure system kicked in to give warm settled weather with light winds.
Futura57
I'm going tomorrow, after being at Popham today. Weather looks even better.
Frank Skilbeck
Was at Much Marcle yesterday, good show and good turn out, full size Spitfire flyby 👍 Don't think the trade was overly happy with 3 model shows over 1 weekend, but reasonable turnout at Marcle.
John Laird
Any comment on Popham ? . I am going there today
Trevor
Sorry, probably too late for you. The Popham show was good yesterday. Vary little trade presence as expected but the pilots managed to put on a continuous and varied flying display. Trevor
Martin Popeye
I went on Saturday,to do the car boot.Only 4 traders at the show, but the booters did brisk business as a result.
Mike T
Three shows over one weekend. Some serious banging of heads together required. Kudos to Southern Modelcraft, Al's Hobbies and Inwood for going to the 'established' date at Much Marcle, when the other venues would have been more convenient for them. Was good to see the helicopters getting more flight time. Very proud seeing 11 year old Finn hold his own on a couple of solo slots (including one on Sunday where he woke the crowd up with some Metallica play in the background) and I got to fly some of my premium FMS/Freewing foamies to balance out the larger composite jets, warbirds and aerobatic machines. Looking forward to supporting the show again next year.
