Has anyone build the WR LA-7 57”  with electric power. I’m really struggling

to get the c of g anywhere near where it should be. Airframe weight is around 4.5lbs.

Not sure about the 57" version but I do know that @Bob Cotsforddid convert his 63" one to electric.

I don't know if he got round to flying it as he hasn't posted on here for 2 - 3 years now which is a shame as he had a lot of useful tips and was well clued up on FrSky gear. I also bought a couple of Lasers off him when he started to go over to electric.

Only knew Bob via the forum, would echo what Nigel said, came over as a knowlegdeable modeller and a gentleman, sad news.

Oh gosh that is sad news. I met him a couple of times and went round to his house (workshop!) when I bought the Laser engines off him. He was always ready to give expert advice and his knowledge of FrSky equipment and OpenTx was extensive. A really nice chap.

I’ve got one, the plan shows it 88mm back from the former, as seen in the photo of my tatty plan.  The pencil note says ‘small La-7’ because I have the larger version too.

Mine flies nicely using that c of g but it does require some lead to achieve it.
