Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Let us know in advance Peter if you think we'll need to call the Guiness Book of Records - off hand I don't know what the world record is the most number of models in the back of a A-Merc. Stephen Grigg can probably tell us - actually Stephen probably holds the record BEB

Clive Matthews
Posted by flytilbroke on 06/01/2010 22:57:23: Oi you lot. RCM&E is a UK mag Centre of UK is nearer Gretna I believe Haltwhistle claims to be the centre of Britain. And so near to Hexham Model Flying Club http://www.centre-of-britain.org.uk/centre.htm
Peter 'Ivanna Crashalot' Savage
well the plane is now kinda in three bits (four if you count the removable wings!), the tail is sitting next to the main computer and the rest is in the garage! Infact a model is the first thing i see in the morning, my lizzie fuselage is hung up right next to my head with large photos of the aircraft in my pic, might glue it together and mountit on my wall, or cut the tail off and make it look like its flown through the wall!!! Looking at that map on that site, there is absolutely no way i could convince dad to go that far :s Edited By Peter 'Servo Scrounger' Savage on 31/01/2010 15:02:

Perhaps suitable data is available from BEB's recent mode survey - I expect he'd help if asked nicely!Edited By Martin Harris on 31/01/2010 18:05:
flytilbroke
Is it not quite possible that a strict limmit would need to be applied to Flyers? This is one thing that has happened a time or two I believe, for other very similar events. The centre of Britain thing mentioned did take into account population density did it not? I think it most likely I shall just read about it as it's likely to be 400+ miles South of me.
Peter 'Ivanna Crashalot' Savage
I have an idea, put that data about the location of fliers on the forum to good use! If we could bribe all the major plan builders (Peter Miller, Tony Nijhuis etc ) to come along we can have air displays with all the other same models
001
And I thought the centre of Britain was near llandudno Instead of flying let's all meet in the pub!
