  1. Anyone built a WOT 4 classic Mk3 in the last couple of years? I have one from a kit bought last year, completed before Xmas, stored in the workshop for a month, test flown yesterday. The issue I have is the veneer on the wings. Out of the box, the veneer was 'fine', (I have had Mr Foss kits before and don't expect top quality) the wings survived covering with the modern film and all was fine. Over the last month, prior to flying, the veneer has split significantly. It's the whole wing top and bottom, splits everywhere. Has anyone else found this? I'm not sure I will complain because I'm sure it will be my stupid fault (customer is always wrong?), just curious. Obviously the model flies perfectly as they always do but the wing now makes Norah Batty's stockings look wrinkle free. Perhaps Mr Foss has changed his suppliers or just diluted his glue too much? Thanks
  2. Hi Nigel I've PM'd you a useful electric power setup guide which originated from 4-Max, this may help answer the basic questions. For some reason 4-Max seem to have excluded this document from their 'useful info' section?
  3. Well spotted, a useful feature which was news to me
  4. I think I have tried pretty much every idea suggested in this and all the other forums. I have found nothing will properly clean a Saito exhaust! The ultrasonic cleaner falls into the category of 'yet another tool that doesn't quite do what you want '. I do find it useful for cleaning plastic parts and wheels though.
  5. Oh my gosh, here we go
  6. Thanks for this post, I got the message too. Fortunately it is obviously a scam. Unfortunately, I could find no way of reporting it to a moderator other than starting a thread as you have done
  7. Hi Robert I mounted direct to F1 which was located rearward to suit. I made a built up cowl as the one supplied was hideous. Engine inverted so all the oil can run out the bottom. I hope you can build lighter than me otherwise I think your 91 will struggle. The Saito 115 is OK for scale like flying but I would like a bit more power really. I had to ditch the carbon copy heavyweight fibreglass u/c for lighter ali ones. Another area I would check is the tailplane structure. It isn't really strong enough in the middle IMHO, I have reinforced mine but it is still weak. I got away with murder recovering from the first bunt but the tailplane basically half fractured at each side of the fuzz. If you study the plan you will see what I mean. Still a lovely model which is the easiest model I have to land.
  8. Yes Alan I can do the same now, I will still ring first. I got the page error when I typed Bean into Google, the SMC link is obviously old
  9. Thanks Alan. When I looked on their site I got an error. Will phone them Thanks Alan. I previously got an error message from their site, will phone them
  10. Does anyone have a Brian Austin designed BEAN, kitted by PB Models please? Unstarted kit would be nice. Thanks Martin
  11. Mine flew ok on Saito 72, maybe 3 years old now with a different owner. Saito 82 would be better. Obviously it's a personal choice but if I wanted 3D I wouldn't start from here! The H9 stick is built like the proverbial and is heavy

  13. My fault. I just wanted to post a reply but messed up, just ignore 😔
  14. Hi Brian. It was direct from Colin's website definitely
  15. Hey Erfolg, just to remind you, you already posted the details in your previous blog 😉
  16. Makes the rest of the world problems seem so trivial in comparison ðŸĪŠ
  17. No this plan does not follow that convention, it's just one of the numerous mistakes provided for extra value 😀
  18. Thanks, just needed a 2nd opinion. Yes building from scratch. I have a couple of big LDs so adding a little one. Part of the decision was due to getting some foam wings from a chap on here - turns out they are not LD wings! I would probably have bought laser parts if I'd known. The more I study the plan the more funnies I find but should be simple enough to sort
  19. For those who have the LD 30 EP plan and building it, can you confirm there is an issue with the fuselage details? It shows the outline of the fuse sides to the lines indicated by the solid black triangles. If this were the case, the 1/2" triangle longerons would be edge on to the sides rather than glued to the sides. Am I missing something? Thanks
  20. Could get a couple of 148's for that 😗
  21. Whatever the book is, if you have been a subscriber in the past you probably won't receive it!
  22. Very nice Dave. Does the Sarik plan include details for built-up wings?
