  1. Hi Martin, I will join in on the LA-7 build as I am just starting looking at mine.
  2. I have a bearcat in construction, wings built. Just wondering what motor to fit and the best way of doing it. The 600 sat inside a box that went through the fun. Can't do that with a brushless motor. Interested to see what you come up with Gary.
  3. It's coming on well Ron- looking good. I often find that a rebuild is more satisfying to do than the original build. Thanks for showing.
  4. Hi Ron, Just catching up having been laid up with covid this past week or so. I like to see models being rebuilt rather thad just being ditched. Following your rebuild with interest.
  5. Recently bought the De Walt Combo to replace my old AEG died. Both drill and driver come with 2000 batteries. Drill is not too heavy Very pleased so far.
  6. Thanks Ron, I was also going to add that.
  7. Hi Jonathon, Looking at the pictures I would say NO they are not ready for joining.Glue is only used for joining material together. There is absolutely no strength in glue the way your thinking of using it. You need to look at why there is such a large gap. If it is because the ribs are set at different angles there is probably not a lot you can do. What you may be able to do is to add a facing of balsa to the end of the rib and carefully sand it so that the top is almost sanded away and the bottom where there was once a gap is now filled with the facing balsa. when the faces of both wings meet it can then be glued. You can either use PVA or epoxy. I hope that helps. If not come back on here.
  8. How much do you need John. I have a roll of 25micron film.
  9. I put on women's' clothing and hang around in bars (He cuts down trees He skips and jumps He likes to press wild flowers He puts on women's' clothing and hang around in bars?) ..... I wear high heels Suspendies' and a bra I wish I'd been a girly And fly a pretty pink Spitfire Just like my dear pa-pa
  10. Thank you Steve. Looking forward to the next video.
  11. I’ve spent the last 3 years holidays at Porthtowan. Been up to St Agnes head and have never seen anybody sloping. Perhaps been looking in the wrong place.
  12. Gave up windows after xp. Far prefer IOS
  13. I'm sorry that I missed you all. I had planned to be there, but then a family commitment got in the way. I have the feeling that Richard was all dressed in Pink. He thinks that the colour makes him inconspicuous. Was his Spitfire also pink?
  14. John! Was the model new or was it pre owned? If new why was the elevator joiner bent? Did it belong to someone in the club, if so need to check it's history. It sounds as if something is badly wrong.
  15. What length of permagrit block? if your'e sanding leading edge etc it is better to invest in one of their long blocks. Sand along the whole edge in one movement rather than little chunks. this should help to keep it even. Don't press down too hard. Sanding should only be done to remove high spots or removing small amounts of material. If your shaping the leading edge for example, I would firstly mark along the centre of the l/e. Use a razor plane to do the rough shaping and only use the sanding block for the final smoothing.
  16. When you say "Help with Sanding". What exactly do you have a problem with? Do you use a sanding block? or what grade of sandpaper.
  17. Phil, What a great picture. It doesn't get better than that!!! The only time guys in our club go slope soaring is when it's cold and blowing a hooley. Your version looks much more enjoyable.!!!
  18. For me I think that the banter is as enjoyable as the flying. Really missed it during the lockdown.
  19. My sentiments entirely. Had a great time at the field this evening glider flying.
  20. Ron, thank you for all the info on the 110. I will test fly mine as soon as I have checked it out and programmed my tx. ?
  21. Does the tailplane not have the underneath bracing struts? They would firm up the t/p.
  22. Lucky you. I do like his pictures.
