I am considering building as in the title from the Sarik plan. Does anyone know if it is designed to have a 2 piece wing? TIA Tony -
Banggood Delivery Times
Anthony Scott 2 replied to Tosh McCaber's topic in R/C Retailers / Distributors / Manufacturers
My most recent HK order, in late May, left HongKong 3 days after I paid & was in UK in another 3 days. There was a further delay of 3 weeks before I received my item after paying tax & the £8 handling fee. Last week I ordered a stabiliser from BG, it was posted within 48 hours. -

If you are using separate channels for each aileron try selecting "flaperon" & raise both ailerons approx 50%. Otherwise, side slipping it is! Tony -
No problem using a Y lead, you aren't the 1st to experience this issue!

Hobbyking EU delivery times?
Anthony Scott 2 replied to Tim Kearsley's topic in R/C Retailers / Distributors / Manufacturers
That was not my experience, 4 days was more usual. However, my latest order from HK landed in UK on 3rd of June & seems to have disappeared. Perhaps the issue is with UK customs. -

I have recently acquired an Army camo version which I intend to power with a glow motor. Does anyone know if the finish is fuel proof? TIA Tony -
OK, thanks.

Tim, from where did you obtain the low oil content Laser 5, please? I recently bought some MT Laser 5% for my 180 & could only get 15% oil content.

Both my 1/4 scale Seagull Spacewalker & my 1/5 scale VQ version have the undercarriage attached to the fuselage immediately in front of the wing. -

The EU warehouse in Holland is still open, postage costs from there to UK can be cheaper than from Ipswich! -
precedent T180 foam wings
Anthony Scott 2 replied to Dougie Swan 1's topic in Building from Traditional Kits and Plans
There are new foam wings for the Flair Cub on Ebay, a similar size. Or, I have a set of T180 wings in reasonable condition in my shed in E Kent. Edited By Anthony Scott 2 on 08/02/2020 15:22:50 -

Hello, I am the contact for Bloobirds Radio Flyers via our website. I have recently received a personal email from a Mrs Debbie Templeton requesting club help with teaching her husband to fly. I am suspicious because my email address is not publicised. Has anyone else heard of a similar approach? Tony

Solarlac Dark Red
Anthony Scott 2 replied to David Hayward.'s topic in Building from Traditional Kits and Plans
I have used Rustoleum clear lacquer, it is not very fuel resistant. -
Many years ago I used thin artists' card & Copydex successfully on several medium size planes. A colleague swears by brown paper & his Spitfire is a work of art.
