  1. If the clus rules are NO FLYING while karting is going on then thats the club rules and members should adhere to the rules at all times and they cannot or shud I say should not feel they have the right to ignore them as they see fit,,, Nor can they over rule the committee..... What they can do is ask for the rules to be chaged either at the AGM at the end of the club year or ask for an EGM to be called which it will then be put to a club vote which if the club as a whole decide to keep the rules as they are including any/all no flying at stated times then the rebelious members basicly have 2 choices,,,, Accept the club rules as they are and follow them or go find another club or failing that face the the consiquences of breaking the rules and being kicked out the club specially when it comes to the safety of others A blunt answer im sure but a correct one i feel

  15. Seeing as I haven't flown an EDF model for some years now and don't have any plans to in near future, I think I will continue to miss out on such bargains and carry on just plodding round the skies at a much more relaxed pace with my smelly oily noise makers.... and as for missing out on cheap bargains I think I've just about earned the pleasure of a little luxury spending in my retirement...
  16. If you're paying that much per each lipo in the uk Leccy you need to change to another model shop
  17. AliExpress is one of the BIG 4 I will never use the other 3 of the 4 are Bangood, ShoddyKing.. I mean Hobbyking...... & Amazon I much prefer to spend my money with UK Models shops for new stuff and a couple of friends that buy & sell Good Serviceable Secondhand stuff than buy cheap and sometimes overpriced crap quality rc stuff from any of the 4 I mentioned above
  18. As I said in my last post I wud report how the test flights went with my newly acquired Ruckus, It has now been airborne ,, Before flying however I did remove the original 3mm approx undercarriage hex bolts & replace them with more suitable 5mm bolts washers & nylock nuts as I really didn't feel the original bolts wud be sufficient enough to hold the undercarriage..... So to the test flight,, Our field is still a little soft in places but a lot drier than it has been recently and the grass in the pits & on the patch is rather lets say clumpy in places and not yet dry enough for a cut.... But on Saturday I decided to send her up and see how she does for her Maiden Flights and I gotta say the Ruckus out flew my expectations and how I was expecting it to fly and handle what I know I can put it through and yes the undercarriage is still intact, firmly attached to the model & complete with wheel spats,, In fact I was rather pleased with how gentle it touched down on landing.... The Undercarriage was more than strong enough to cope with the condition our patch is in at the moment including a faster taxi than normal... So yes I'm very happy with the Ruckus ,, I'm not saying I'm a newly converted believer or follower of the Ruckus and its creaters but I will atleast say it's a passable & enjoyable plane to fly... One of my fellow club members managed to get a bit of video of the Ruckus's maiden flight 263523525_RUCKUSTEST.mp4
  19. Just to identify for others as I just got off a call with you Jim.... Its a Black Horse Blade https://lagoonhobbies.co.za/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=6&sort=1a&products_id=963
  20. Only my personal view ,,, Yes admittedly some planes do look really good with nav lights you can actually see but to only fit lights and over items simply for the purpose of being able to see the model at a distance then you must be flying your models to fair away from you to begin with when you shud be keeping clear line of sight at all times including the models direction of flight & orientation not just for the fact the you can see where it is.. so if its that far away that you cant tell which way its going or facing then your are most deffo flying too far away
  21. All I do with electric models is look at the motor specs for the recommended prop sizes and just bolt on what ever prop i have in my flight box that's the right size whether it be an IC prop or Electric Prop... Turns out more time than not these days to be IC Props I have more of than Electric Props as a year ago coming back in to the hobyy all my models were Electric where as now a year on only 2 are Electric and the rest are IC as I seem to have ended up going back to prodominantly flying IC Models... Just cant seem to shake the Glow Fuel Smell in my life...lol
  22. Hi Jon .. Sad to see & hear Laser Engine will be coming to an end..... I only had the privelage of owning Laser 100 in my flying life which powered a nice scale Spitfire I once had and was a fantastic reliable power plant power the spitty round the club skies with grace... All the best in what ever venture and pursuits you take up in the future years to come
