  1. Surely filling the nose or even printing part of it a little thicker the chu k rhe nose weight in there. May give a luttle more strength and help c of g! Or am i being a bit naive
  2. Sad thing is the best flight is one before the last one!
  3. I am well aware of the fuel tank position argument in relation to engine inlet position, i.e. below the engine inlet. Trouble is I have a Tucano complete with retracts and the tank outlet sits above the inverted engine inlet. Unless I remove the front retract, daft solution, I have little space to reposition the tank. I could perhaps set way back in the fuselage, is that a good idea, find or make a tank, subject to dimension and position, or maybe make a bladder tank. The engine will run and is easily started with the model inverted, its the flooding issue when fueling and starting when its upright. Please bare in mind the model was designed this way and I know that they are flown.
  4. If uou really want to enforce the club rules make it plain you are quite happy to let BMFA insurers aware of the disregard should any incident occur. I would also alert the errant members that theybmaybr liable personally even if insurers pay out part of the claim
  5. Bath of hot water helps mpve the paper. Xperimental airlines vidoes are good as you say. I also found flite test videos useful. The master series shows how to create curves in foam board. You can also use it as a spar in wings. Good luck
  6. I have watered the pitch at Aston Villa, think its good for the weeds...
  7. Spring has indeed sprung and the sooner we find the bloody thing and plug it the better!!!
  8. I'm sure the brownie points will ease the pain....
  9. Completely off topic. Papplewick Pumping Station. Steaming events throughout the year. And you get to see model steam traction engines and rc boats on the cooling pond. Great day out.
  10. Carefully Ron. Ho ho. It wont hold it straight and level course when gyro turned off so i dont get the chance to anythung carefully as it twists and turns to the ground..Great reply though.....lol
  11. Two flights with the little Sonikrc Corsair, great fun. Has anyone found out how to fly these without the stabilisation.
  12. Congrats. It s a great feeling isn't it, and still get it when I grease one.

    Electric Cars.

Arr the glorious vagaries of being human. The entrenched positions. The unwillingness to recognise the arguements and the stupidity to seek compromise. Gia anyone. Lol
  14. Its off to Logicrc for a new screen. Hopefully that will be all it needs and there isnt any underlying issue!
  15. I have used their micro servos, they perform well
  16. I have had something similar on Spektrum DX6, but there was no remedy due to obsolete parts. I am hoping for a better outcome with the DX8 which has developed the same sort of symptom. I say symptom because the cause maybe different. Just wondered whether others had the same symptoms.

    DX8 v NX8 ?

Had DX6 which the screen develiped a darkish patch. Sent for repair but told some board or other was failing and replacements ni longer available. I hadDX8 which i use, though that seems to be do8ng something similar. I use that for i.c. and purchased a Radiomaster TX16s. Very pleased with it. Just wondering whether or not to send DX8 in for repair. .
  18. SCRCAC may be ok. Currently all fixed wing.
  19. I noted the comments regarding the mistakes etc made in the NOTAM. Given they are published by NATS i have to ask who checked it and ehy the errors were notpointed out to the author. If i accept the reporting of the incident is indeed accurate i allude to errors obvious on both parties. Given safety is paramount the attention afforded too it seems lacking on behalf of those paid to police it, whilst ignorance is apparent on the author.
  20. Best game of tournament, the Italy France game was tense as well. Glad Italy finally getting their act together.
  21. I have purchased the Sonikrc Corsair, which like the other incarnations, comes with its own Transmitter (Tx). I have flown it using the Tx and it does fly ok, except I was having it climb when using left aileron, not really a problem just gentle inputs and corrections. I have a Radiomaster Tx16s and this can be bound to a number of receivers, having seen that the receiver in my Corsair could be bound to my Tx I duly undertook the process, this included the 3 position switch for beginner, intermediate and expert. Having flown it with the Radiomaster it flies well. The only problem is in expert mode in both the supplied Tx and the Radiomaster it is very difficult to keep in the air. The winds were very calm, so I am convinced it isnt that turbulence, though have not flown it indoors. Anyone else having this problem and if so any suggestions on using expert mode, basically not stabilisation.
  22. If you want proper policing you need proper prosecutors and proper judges. As most now come from university backgrounds ptoper solutions get shunned. Where you try to impose s3lection criterea somebody gets all twisted cos they have a glass eye and the system aint fair. As for more laws, how about we enforce the ones we have. And as for the police being corrupt racist rapists sharp intake of breath they come from the heneral population. Much like other professions. (Who tend to be less scrutinised)
  23. PatMc "Radio wasn't "invented" in the UK, it was first demonstrated in the US then later, demonstrated again in Germany. Later still, Marconi sent the first radio communication in Italy." I think you will find Heinrich Hertz (Hertz, that seems familiar) was the first to prove radio. Hertz was German. Proving the the theory of a Scottish gent James Clark Maxwell.
