It's called 'learning experience', how did we get from caves to houses ?. -
I use 'Canopy glue' (google it ) as in some artf planes there is only 2mm balsa to screw into, it will stick any canopy to any film.

The benefits of regulating the carburettor are easier starting and a more consistent idle. You don't have to do it,. Nice toys, get them on the bench and see how you get on, but firstly, take a photo of the needle valve positions so that you know where the factory set them before you fiddle with them, they are VERY sensitive. -
Can't you recuperate the old plug and solder it on a new pack, or get a pack with a Bec plug, only be careful not to put it the wrong way around in the radio.

Good luck with the locktite, it won't work, I have a couple of old motors with the same problem, one I drilled the exhaust port a little deeper and deepened the thread, now it is ok, another I have used the older technique that Rossi used for their piped 2 strokes, a steel ring with a spring around the cylinder head. -

I found that the 'pitts' silencers ended up falling to bits in less than a gallon of petrol on the 20cc engines. -

As they only use half the fuel, or like me put some castor oil in the mix like I do to make up for it.🤩
