  1. I always drill a bit out for the grub screws. I hope that your pitts silencer lasts longer than mine did on my Rcgf 20cc🤢
  2. Maybe a hybrid version with a standard car engine on a generator / battery would be the answer. You never know it could catch on and equip cars,,,😄
  3. Welcome to the forum Craig, is your surname really 'Here' ?.
  4. It isn't thick paint, I gave it a wipe and left it with a bit of acetone in it, which has evaporated.
  5. I think that as you say all the expense of helicopter servicing, multirotors will soon get the flying certificates and replace the smaller ones like the Robinson 22 and 44.
  6. Thanks to all, the brake fluid did the job, now to see if it will get rid of the dried 2 pack polyurethane paint.
  7. Nothing new, over here they have been using it for over 30 years and still do, I think that they use watered down white glue to put it on.
  8. A local, who has a jet board, is developing this, OK for the rich on mega yachts to get their morning croissants.
  9. Thanks to all, I have some old brake fluid to start, then cellulose, then oven cleaner, but maybe just good old wire wool and ajax ?.
  10. Hi all, I broke my trusty 30-year-old glass reservoir for my Humbrol single action aero graph, I found that the Tamiya acrylics paint jars are the same thread, but how or what do you recommend for cleaning out the dry acrylic paint ?. Thanks, Paul
  11. So right,,, No chance of flying taxi's, just look above you, lamp posts, telephone wires, trees and in the grassy fields, cows, horses and no way is a farmer going to let them land in his fields, damaging his crops, like Helicopters it needs a flat surface, without fod and dust, and not forgetting the weather. So all those drone rules, hours of manpower, wages and laws for nothing.😡
  12. And when it does, while you are picking up the pieces your ears buzz with the whispering of 'pilot error',,,🤢
  13. Amazing stuff Peter, I would love a kit, but scratch built isn't for me.
  14. Lucky escape 'again', the second flight of my Futura Bell 222 was a bit funny and difficult hovering over the landing square, 2 teeth had broken off of one of the servo gears on the head.
  15. A week has gone by and no one flying except me,,,😇, there is a downside, a couple of short downpours so we all scuttled under the hanger, and after 6+ months of my Pitts resting in my garage it did take 5 backflips to start,,,😂
  16. What size and pitch is your invisible prop and Where did you get it from ?.😂
  17. It's already started over here in France, some of the big agricultural farms are building reservoirs to stock water for irrigating crops, mostly filled with rain water, some with rivers (dams) and also a few pumping water up from the water table, but this will of course lower the water supply leaving towns without water, the 'greens' are fighting them, but mostly they get nowhere, money talks.🤢 Opps out of subject,,,
  18. I sand outside,,, It does have a tube if you want to block up your hoover filter.
  19. David gave me one with a supply for a 1.000 years of sanding, it is still running on the old disc that was on it when he gave it to me. It's Brilliant
  20. I was taught at school that by the year 2000 cars would run on water, as petrol would have all been sucked out of the planet.
  21. So what are the gains / losses, petrol = generator=charger=battery= controller=motors, some sort of perpetual motion, also carrying around 300 kilos of batteries, or 100 kilos of petrol motor and another 80 kilos of fuel + tank + 12v battery, Am I missing something ?.
  22. So where does it save the planet from pollution ?.
